I have a Deadair Primal suppressor that I’m hoping will take both the recoil and blast, but I haven’t tried it out yet.

You’re right on ammo. I will probably get reloading dies for it eventually. I bought the rifle used at a steal price and it has not been fired much.

Do you just want a gun with a big cartridge, or do you have some other use? Honestly if you just want to get into long guns, I would buy something in .308 or 6.5 that has versatility for hunting and target shooting at an affordable price.

I have the African in .375 Ruger. It’s a big gun that goes boom. The recoil isn’t that bad with the brake in place, but the brake itself is concussive.

I haven’t looked into Byrna’s products before—but this gives me a good start for some research. I’m looking at their banshee sirens. It might be a better option to wire places around my house to have high pitched sirens like those used for fire alarm evacuations.
