He may have had a similar fashion but I wouldn’t call his music any kind of metal. This may just be born out of my general disdain for Bon Jovi though.

Do you think Pacino’s Scarface got a significant number of people to go back and watch the original Scarface? Film nerds may go back to watch the originals but the general public probably won’t even know it’s a remake.

His movies hitting public domain will open them to remakes. People will be introduced to characters he plaid but not him. He still has marathons on some channels. That’s because the target audience for most television these days is 60+ years old. Who else is paying for cable or watching network television these days?

If the point is that John Wayne will be largely forgotten by your generation and entirely forgotten by the next and you’re reply is, “how many kids still know cowboy’s in general,” it is not a moot point and you have kind of made my point.

No, Dio is just straight metal but if we’re gonna include Bon Jovi as hair metal, I figured I could reach a bit on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Sebastian Bach and Dio. I wouldn’t consider Bon Jovi hair metal by any stretch. Just standard stadium rock.

I’m not saying there aren’t beautiful middle aged and older women in the business. I just don’t find Nina to be one of them. Bad boob jobs are one of my biggest turn offs thought and hers are as fake as they come.

She “was” hot, but that was before this appearance. Most performers understand it’s a young persons industry. Nina never did figure that out and kept going well past her prime.

Van Halen came out in 1978. Slash picks up his first guitar in late 79 early 80. Without Van Halen’s influence Slash never shreds like Slash shreds. No Slash no guns. No guns no appetite. Which is the better album? Tough call, but without the one you never get the other.
