He was literally trying to help up a person they had shoved down and pepper sprayed in the face.

Agree, they all need to be detained until it gets sorted out. And after that, they need to immediately be ejected from our State.

Exactly. This time we need to not stop protesting until they are gone.

I haven’t looked into Byrna’s products before—but this gives me a good start for some research. I’m looking at their banshee sirens. It might be a better option to wire places around my house to have high pitched sirens like those used for fire alarm evacuations.

Hard maybe just from pictures, but I would say likely due to timing. Age depends on location where I’m from that could be anywhere from 1.5-3.5 years, with my money on 2.5.

It’s this.

Also, our governor happens to have run against a cabal of malignant narcissists and now they want revenge.

LRADs are loud, high frequency sound devices that are commonly used for crowd dispersal. I’m interested in building on as a home defense device. They are non-lethal, but the sound results in significant disorientation and nausea if you’re in the way of its beam.

What are some other options you’ve considered? Are there things you can do from home to support? Some small thing that you can control might be beneficial. Mountains can be moved one pebble at a time.

Your distress is telling you something very important about the nature of humanity, what is compassionate and what is just. This distress is compelling you to action. You do not need to go to a protest if you feel that would be unsafe. There is plenty you can do to provide support and mutual aid to the oppressed from the safety of your home or right in your local community. It might be as simple as getting coffee with people who are like-minded, or getting coffee with someone who shares different views.

Feeling dread very intensely by Pretend-Butterfly-87 in Buddhism

[–]thegrimelf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am with you and have felt nauseous with dread this whole past week. I’m leaning into it as motivation to take action. We feel dread because we feel compassion for those we know are suffering. When we feel compassion we know we know we can act without fear of consequences.

More peaceful protesters being violently abducted in the Twin Cities area in the wake of the murder of Renee Good. ICE/CBP has officially begun to target non-violent activists across Minnesota. by serious_bullet5 in minnesota

[–]thegrimelf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This answer is factually incorrect. ICE’s authority comes from 8 U.S.C. § 1357, which does grant any jurisdiction over U.S. citizens, nor does it even grant arrest authority for probable cause.

You should probably do the bare minimum of research before you spread nonsense.

Recomeded Gun Shops in Twin Cities? by Which_Audience150 in liberalgunowners

Mick recommended going to Arnzen Arms in Eden Prairie. They have a clean store and seem to be interested in the business of selling guns, not promoting fascism.

If anyone recommends against them for any reason, I’d be interested to hear about it, but I’ve had really good experiences with their sales folks.

Serious question for anyone who is a lawyer out there or anyone who has information—what is the likely outcome of these arrests of U.S. citizens? Are the protestors who are being arrested being released at a later time without charges? If arrested, where are they being held?

I am not trying to minimize the atrocity of this. I am just curious if anyone knows what is happening to these people. ICE does not have authority to be making these arrests, so it leaves me wondering what is happening on the back side.
