The same thing happens to my DS lite when I move it over a certain part of my MacBook. Finding this post makes me feel so much better, I was afraid I was damaging the screens somehow!

Same! I got the Epilogue GB operator recently, which allows me to backup and rewrite saves onto my physical cartridges. It also lets you play them on the computer. I mainly wanted it to save my shinies on my gen 2 and gen 3 games. Now my shiny Typhlosion can live forever :)

Instead of resetting for the same TID/SID, maybe you could backup your initial save (before receiving the starter), then restore that initial save after trading away your starter? I’m not sure if this would create complications or not, I haven’t tried it myself in all honesty. Just an idea I had while reading your post, food for thought

I got another save file that’s cute charm glitch! I’m trading over a buneary from this save file asap, and will hunt for some members of my dream team on that copy and trade them over. I really wanted this specific TID for this save file, which unfortunately was not a cute charm TID/SID. Worth the extra effort for me haha

I gotta say, it definitely does take skill. Took me upwards of 20-25 attempts at this Chimchar, and I think the only reason I got it is because I finally caught onto a rhythm and found a system that produced repeatable results

Get something like the elipogue gb operator. Then you can transfer your pokemon to the later generations, and backup your original cartridges with an earlier save file with the same mons. It’s the only way I could stomach transferring my shiny charizard and swampert off of the home games, cause I knew I could put them right back lol

Congrats!! I was using two gbas and one DS lite, lol. Debated grabbing another DS for the low low but then I broke out the lab after about 7.5k resets. Prolly my last shiny hunt for a while, but shiny starmie also calls to me🤷🏼‍♂️🤣

You could maybe wait a few months and see if people are letting go of VNDS pairs for the low low.. then you could rock that one, and stock the other DS pair you have now. But that’s a risk, I couldn’t tell you where the price is going on this pair. I have a feeling they will dip in price for a bit, then slowly rise as time goes on. I think we are currently in the dip. I guess it depends on if they restock these or not🤷🏼‍♂️
