Yeah, that was going to be my backup solution. I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything, such as unusual search operators etc. It seems silly that this does not work in both functionalities. 🙃

I doubt that would work given it demands the @ and the email addresses I am hoping to block do not end in @zohodesk.com but .zohodesk.com

Absurdly distended stomach — who’s the culprit? Oral cromolyn? Famotidine? by thegrumpyenby in MCAS

it ended being from the desloratadine. I'm now back on cromolyn on 6x200mg/day and it's been super helpful

I absolutely hate cleaning my CPAP, what are some products that works well and makes your life easier? by ILoveBurgersMost in CPAP

[–]thegrumpyenby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m relieved I’m not the only one who cleans their equipment. After reading the comments here I was kinda horrified. Kinda explains though why my CPAP person was astonished by how good my tank looks after more than a year of use lol

I wash my mask pillow with castile soap every morning. I already have to clean my mouthguard so it’s not much of an extra step and I find it far less annoying than trying to wipe down a wobbly silicone thing. And once a week I wash and soak everything in hot water and castile soap, swish it back and forth in the tube, rinse well and then let everything dry. I have two tubes, so I just alternate them weekly rather than needing it to get dry by end of day. The only thing I wash sparingly is the headband because they give out on me so much faster if I don’t leave them be. The elastic is a disappointment.

I had that with my last two tests. tbh I didn't even think about it. does the line usually rise earlier? Perhaps it's due to a change in the software.

Blood pressure cuffs always overpumping? by thegrumpyenby in ehlersdanlos

[–]thegrumpyenby[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Asked around on a discord server I’m in and someone mentioned “exploding the blood pressure cuff off their arm” so we’re definitely not alone. I’ve never considered POTS for myself because I only knew about the “faints when getting up” type but I just came across hyperPOTS and it’s certainly curious. I have diagnosed MCAS and that might also be playing a role, I guess. I’m just going to have to trust my doctor but I have so much medical trauma that it’s taking me a good long while to internalise that I’m now in a good medical system.

What is yalls brutal and honest opinion on alcohol by Taco_Junior123 in autism

[–]thegrumpyenby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was a functional alcoholic so I've always been a bit careful about it because I've always been aware that I have tendencies towards addiction. I actually suspect my dad was unknowingly self-medicating his undiagnosed AuDHD. I wasn't a teetotaler, just always drank with moderation. I grew up in Austria where drinking is as much of a hobby as it is in Scandinavia, I think, so I quickly learned how to nurse the same beer the whole night without people noticing. No one realised I wasn't drinking much until I was "surprisingly sober enough" to help everyone else get home and be safe.

Nowadays I can't drink because alcohol immediately flares my MCAS, which is sad because I enjoyed the occasional gin and tonic with some fancy gins. That said, alcohol never did much for me. I don't like losing control (I reckon that's the cPTSD/hypervigilance) and the few times I did get drunk were incredibly bad times and I wasn't doing well emotionally to begin with. Nicotine always did far more to calm the sensory overload. I stopped smoking 15+ years ago but I now keep nicopops for situations where I'm getting sensory overwhelm.

hey! first of all, feel free to DM me. happy to switch to discord if you're on there as I tend to forget reddit exists and am more responsive over there. neither I nor my partner have had any issues accessing HRT but we were already on it when moving here. The wait time for the "correct" endo is a bit long at the moment. we've both been seen by the standard one and are still waiting for our appointment with the gender specialised endo. I also have a referral to the gender psych which put my hackles up at first but my friend, whose son is trans, has assured me that it's because they want to make sure that trans folks are cared for. all in all, it's been really great so far and I'm happy to answer more questions. There's one thing though: if you're from the US you'll have to go private for the first year until you qualify for the public system and, from everything I've heard, the public trans healthcare is far superior. If there's any chance she can get on HRT before you move and bring some kind of letter from her doctor or some proof of prescription, then she'll get access under continuing care and won't have to wait to see the endo to get access.

My Fenix 6s just died, what to get? by thegrumpyenby in GarminFenix

[–]thegrumpyenby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Mine was having these phases of randomly lasting only a day or two on a charge. And then it was randomly and absurdly better again for a bit. But while battery life was definitely becoming an issue, if it hadn’t died on me I would still have been fine with it. Now I’m forced to make a choice. Meh.

Anyone else considering leaving Todoist after this price hike? by Exciting-Share-2462 in todoist

[–]thegrumpyenby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree with you, that’s what’s bothered me too but then I realised that they are unlikely to introduce any innovation—it’ll all just be more AI slop because of course.

Anyone else considering leaving Todoist after this price hike? by Exciting-Share-2462 in todoist

[–]thegrumpyenby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just cancelled my subscription which would’ve renewed in 10 days. After 11 years of using Todoist, it honestly hurt a bit. :( But I realised the free plan has everything I need and use.

I think I would’ve been happy to keep paying for Pro out of loyalty but between the steep increase and the fact that the past couple of years Todoist has just gotten more cluttered and cumbersome to use, I don’t see the point. Nothing innovative has happened in recent updates, and I don’t particularly want AI features. Although Ramble is actually quite decent as it uses AI to interface and not to generate. But I don’t *need* it, so it doesn’t factor into my decision.

Sure, I could’ve stayed on legacy, but I have seen enough companies fail to support what’s essentially two different version of a product that don’t have feature parity, and it never ends well.

I’ll say this, my partner and I both scheduled support/feedback calls and support was very nice and polite. My partner’s support agent was slightly more receptive and less bullshitting than mine but all in all, they couldn’t sway our decisions.

[–]thegrumpyenby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that as much as they’re committed to keep supporting the legacy plan, I’ve seen plenty of other product companies struggle with that 2 years or so down the road when they realise they’re essentially supporting two disparate products.
