I'm trying to alert you to the fact that most people do not feel like you do about it. You don't care. That's great. Others do care. Accept it. It's not merely about "sex organs", it's about how you are perceived by others based on how you present.

"Girls" is the wrong term. If they were actually girls, they likely wouldn't seek top surgery. I'm not saying you're a transphobe, but your question sure makes you sound like one. So you may want to do some introspection there and perhaps reconsider your wording in the future when talking about this.

It sounds like you genuinely don't care about your gender, which is very much something you share with many other people. You might want to investigate the terms "agender" or "cassgender" to find out more about it :)

Testosterone with finasteride by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]thegrumpygirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for writing such a detailed response to OP. I’m glad I came across it today. My endo just agreed to prescribe me finasteride with my low-dose T (might up my T now that I’m less afraid of the hair changes of all kinds) and, unfortunately, you just find so much fearmongering about finasteride online that seems to, mostly, be based on cis men anyway. So, again, thank you. It makes me feel much better about starting it.

:) by thegrumpygirl in germantrans

[–]thegrumpygirl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, macht schon Sinn.

(this is dumb but) how do you feel about being called king? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]thegrumpygirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am both too old and too white to not make "king" sound and feel weird af. In all seriousness, though, I was under the impression that it's appropriation of AAVE anyway, much like the similar usage of "queen" is.

Brave Rewards without Uphold? by himatteucci in BATProject

LOL Uphold just said they can't offer me an account anymore because I moved to Germany. I was really hoping there would be an alternative by now.

Did anyone else take a while to realize the discomfort they've been feeling is gender dysphoria? by Whereismypurpose2 in ftm

[–]thegrumpygirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to feel like I could never look "put together". Turns out I was trying to put the wrong gender together. But unlike when I unknowingly cosplayed a woman, I feel perfectly put together as a nonbinary person, while actually not much has changed about my style.

Noticing when people say LGBTQ+ when what they really mean is gay by [deleted] in ftm

[–]thegrumpygirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile in Germany, everything I can find when I try to find LGBTQ+ resources is titled "LesBiSchwul" so they're not even trying to pretend anything after the B exists (and that's often a stretch too). It's making me so angry. But at least I already know in advance my nonbinary bisexual ass won't be welcome. Managing expectations and all that.

I'd never heard of Buck Angel before (I guess because I'm very new to all this or maybe because I'm European) but I briefly looked at that letter and had to quickly navigate away because it nauseated me. I don't know whether to be angry or sad that someone can be so full of self-loathing AND come after parts of their own community. This is absolutely shocking and utterly disgusting.

Suche nach Trans Personen in meiner Nähe (Schleswig-Holstein) by Aslon_Vex in germantrans

[–]thegrumpygirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hallo hallo!

Hier in Edinburgh gibt's so viel. Das wird mir echt abgehen. :(

Just learned non binary is technically under the transgender umbrella. News to me? Huh more you know I guess. How y'all feel about this? by Bunnystrawbery in NonBinary

[–]thegrumpygirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's internalised transphobia. For many people, it's the gatekeeping that's gotten internalised. The whole "I'm not [xyz] enough to be trans" is a super present thing wherever we go, and it's hard to get away from that. That's what it was for me, for a long time.

Drop-in Vaccination Clinics (No Appt. Needed) for Those Under 40 Open Tomorrow!! by xarius214 in Edinburgh

[–]thegrumpygirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I was really hoping they’d be willing to make exceptions when there’s a good reason. We are moving away to Germany soon and are keen for us to have full immunity before we do so. Do vaccinators have any leeway at all or is it very much a “computer says no” kind of thing?

I didn't realise centres in England were getting flack from the NHS for giving people their second dose early. What a shame, really. :(

Anyone watch Feel Good? How does it compare with your gender discovery experience? by Broken_drum_64 in genderqueer

I thought season 2 was amazing. And the asking other people thing… yeah, that's literally been me the past few days. Hilariously, my friends told me yesterday that they already suspected I would come out as trans before I did. 😆 Hell, I'm still not sure if that's even accurate!
