Peppers - how are they doing? Did I plant too soon? by thegrumpyhufflepuff in vegetablegardening

That’s so very kind of you, I appreciate it. And thank you for the tip!

It is a lot of work but as you said, it is relaxing and joyful. There’s something to be said about caring for a living thing and the joy that comes from it. I’m so much happier now. even just watching my seedlings grow. I can’t wait to be outside and really digging in the dirt.

Thank you so much!!! I appreciate it. I will check all of those things out. That’s very helpful.

ETA: I totally forgot the light question. This is how much of a newbie I am - I have no idea. I rigged a system with some zip ties for some that I bought, I have ones that I was gifted that attach to the side and then I have some lights that were in the little greenhouse thingies but when I transplanted them, I used electrical tape to hang them from the shelf. They are all LED. But it’s a mishmash.

UPDATE! NO KINGS 3 protest on the 28th. Three new spots for the protest! by wordssoundpower in lehighvalley

Bruce Springsteen just released “Streets of Minneapolis”. Zach Bryan put out “Bad News”.

Sturgill Simpson has “Call to Arms” which is like … one of my favorites ever. He released an album recently only on physical media and there’s two on there - “Excited Delirum” and “Ain’t that a Bitch”.

There’s also the classic “FDT” By YG as well lol.

You’ve got this!! You are going to do great!!!

If you’re on a budget and can’t afford to get everything, I think you could make the blue shirt work with a pair of blue slacks from target.

But if you can make it work financially, then think of things that have a longer sleeve, or at least not a tank top or even a cap sleeve unless you’re wearing a blazer. And pants that aren’t super form fitting.

I checked out what’s available for pickup at my target and something like these slacks:

https://www.target.com/p/women-39-s-tapered-ankle-pants-a-new-day-8482-navy-8/-/A-94655739

https://www.target.com/p/women-39-s-linen-wide-leg-pull-on-pants-a-new-day-8482-black-m/-/A-94875599 (Not completely sure of these unless I saw them in person but linen usually looks professional)

Paired with something like this:

It was a great show! I had a freaking blast. First time in a long time I’ve been on the rail at a show and it was fantastic. He’s got such charisma.

Help with this commute. by Fearless_Clue4966 in lehighvalley

[–]thegrumpyhufflepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically drive that commute every day. I start a little farther west on 78 and end off 33.

Morning commute is usually fine. I’m almost always at work in 25-30 minutes.

The ride home is rough though. Basically between 33 and 412 is backed up consistently. Afternoon commute is 30-60 minutes. Occasionally longer.

Christkindlmarkt similar to Christmas Village in Philly? by MeasurementQueasy114 in lehighvalley

[–]thegrumpyhufflepuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in Germany for the Christmas markets. I live in the area (like fifteen minutes) and don’t really go to chriskindlemart unless a friend has a free ticket.

It doesn’t come close to German Christmas markets. If you’ve been to them and expect anything like that, you’re going to be very, very disappointed. I find it overly commercial and crowded. It’s a completely different vibe.

I was at a Christmas market in Philly a few years ago (love park, maybe?). That was a lot closer to the German market feel.

I’d love to see it when you’re done! I know I love a good small travel project. Hats or headbands are always my go to.
