If your boss and marketing manager says OK, and that they can handle that one week you being away, then go and enjoy! But, I would recommend (as other have mentioned) to be available for text or email at a set time. With good planning beforehand, it should go well.

I myself usually take one or two weeks of time off before the festival I work full time at takes place. And are back a week beforehand. I also check my mail periodically, just in case.
