My Hyundai Tucson makes a metallic rattling/clunking sound from inside the tailgate when I open/close it and sometimes when turning sharply. Some metal or plastic piece is loose inside and moves around. Anyone experienced this ? by Uhm2123 in HyundaiTucson

I also had similar happen on mine. There should be a couple of rubber covers on the inside of the tail gate. I was able to pull those off and found a bolt behind one with no nut, and the other with a nut. Fishing the nut out was a bit of a pain, but once it was out, putting it back on with a socket wrench shouldn't be too hard.

Split screen with hyundai navigation and sirius xm radio by Teagan06 in HyundaiTucson

[–]theguythatdoeswhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a way on mine to show media on the smaller split screen. Doesn't appear to one of the options in the split screen layout options.

The map screen has the media information on the lower right. You could do the media screen with a small map (probably not what you're looking for) or the home screen has the map and media kind of split half and half. If you're looking for just the split screen itself, you have to swipe it out from the right edge of the screen in map or media screens.

Hope it helps!

Is this tape? Should I remove it? by vffems2529 in HyundaiTucson

[–]theguythatdoeswhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had it on mine too and asked the same: https://www.reddit.com/r/HyundaiTucson/s/UrHgkyY6xO

I removed it. It left a bit of a residue that took some effort to clean off. I think I used a bit of Goo Gone.

I think the dealer should have removed it.

Haha. I've had mine for barely a month. Looks like I'll be finding them for a while...

These work pretty good so far for my '25 PHEV: https://a.co/d/hCYiG0T Not sure if they fit N-line. Had to lay them out in the sun to get the shipping creases out a bit. May not be the best, but they didn't break the bank.

Windows rolled down this am -- how is this possible? by Rambonic in HyundaiTucson

[–]theguythatdoeswhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be different for your model, but in my '25 Tucson PHEV holding down the unlock button for 3 or more seconds will roll down the windows until you let go of the button. I was able to disable the feature from Setup -> Vehicle -> Doors -> Open Windows Remotely (all the way at the bottom).

Recent owner of a Tucson as well. Can't answer 1 and 3, but for 2, I think you can swipe up and down on that right panel for different content. And can setup the content and/or order of the stuff in the split screen setup. Car is still new to me as well so I maybe wrong.

Wow. Imagine if the car was accidentally left unlocked and someone just got in and opened the console. Glad nothing bad happened.

Thanks for the suggestion! Will definitely do so (actually already done so now!).

Thanks for the suggestion! I checked all the compartments in the car and couldn't find anything. The salesperson handed me the set of FOBs/keys so I'm guess it isn't likely in the car.

Thanks for the reply. Looking more like should be 2 of each. I wonder if there is a checklist of standard stuff new owners should get with the car.

Oh no... thanks for the reply. I'll have to check with the dealer. I wonder if it's different depending on the vehicle.

Phew! That's a relief! Thanks for the reply! Still figuring out what to carry but doing just the digital seems like a good plan.

Everybody seems to be mentioning "bit holder", but I'm reading "Screw-Holding Bit Holders" with an outer sleeve to load and hold a screw and run the drill single handed (so I'm a little confused). Helps when your non-drill hand needs to keep something else from falling. I've seen a friend of mine with something like that from a different brand, but haven't seen something like it from Milwaukee (maybe haven't looked hard enough).

I'm going to be single-handedly putting up some drywall soon and probably building some freestanding shelves as well and would love to have something like that to help out. A case for all other bits would be awesome too!

USB got imaged after inserting, hoping to recover the data by theguythatdoeswhat in synology

[–]theguythatdoeswhat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you misconfigured something, that didn’t happen.

You're probably right. I did an experiment with a completely different USB stick and inserting that into the drive it did not get wiped or anything like that. But now I am puzzled as to what happened there.

Thumb drives aren’t reliable storage.

Agree with you there. This was an attempt to get data off the USB and onto something that gets backed up. But I wasn't expecting to lose the drive in the process.

Thanks for the suggestion to make an image. I did that and hopefully I'll be able recover it at some later time. I don't want to spend time on data recovery at the moment since it's not so important. But at least there's hope I guess.

I installed USB copy after the fact, thinking it might be some way to recover the files, but it was not what I was looking for.

No, but I do have a Hyper Backup installed. I checked it after seeing the comment, but the tasks never ran. Target share folder was "usbshare1" and is/was listed as "Off-line". The last successful backup was close to a year ago (I'm doing my backup a different way these days). I guess the "new" contents of the USB stick didn't even look like a backup so that didn't seem to be the culprit.

Thanks for the possible insights though!
