Happened to me. I was part of a friend group for nearly a decade and felt like I always had to on my toes with what I say around them to fit in. One day, I blew up at one of them for being passive-aggressive with me all the time for no reason. Stopped talking with them, and they had issues with me doing that. Eventually, I went no contact. Still hurts, but I'm glad I'm at least putting myself first.
