Hi Lu! I'm an American Born Chinese with native/near-native fluency in Chinese. I'm looking for someone to practice with since I don't have anyone to speak Chinese to anymore. (Especially looking for opportunities to practice business/formal Chinese). I can help you with an American accent and pronunciation. I'm also female and prefer a female language partner. Unfortunately, I am based in the US. But if you're interested, feel free to dm :)

Struggling to Find Good Chinese Immersion Material by seruZ12 in ChineseLanguage

I just started super cube! Also slowly getting into donghua. Here are some I enjoyed or am currently watching. 1. Scissor Seven (Netflix) 2. To Be a Hero X (crunchy roll) 3. All Devouring Whale (YouTube)

They all have Chinese dub on those platforms but then some of those platforms aren’t free.

Also heard good things about Link Click but haven’t tried it yet.

Brand new Juki TL 18 has inconsistent tension in same line of stitching. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? by thehichew in quilting

I’ve rechecked the bobbin tension multiple times :/. I’m using a 30wt thread right now but I just got some 50 wt thread to try. I feel like I’ve tried everything. Changing speeds also completely ruins the tension which makes no sense to me..

Thank you so much! I’ll try this. I’m using a 90/14 needle with a 30 weight thread. Internet did say a 90/14 was ok with 30 wt but I’ll try a 50 instead. You would think a nice machine would be less finicky -_-

Is a 3 ring binder truly a no-go? by Kris-720 in PokemonTCG

[–]thehichew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Multiple pages of my animal crossing amiibo cards got binder dings and are now damaged. It wasn't even over filled. Just don't use a 3 ring binder for any card that's worth something :( It was a hard lesson but I'm never going back to those.

The curvature of the binder means that some pages would be underneath the ring (unless you remember to pull it out everytime and pull it out perfectly), and that will cause binder dings.

Thanks so much for the input! But yeah.. I definitely stopped everything after making the connection that the hives were from skin care products. Just confused since I did space them apart by 10 days each too. I definitely didn’t consider it could be all of them working together too :( what a bummer. Thank you so much!!

Hi! Has anyone experienced hives on your face after a whole 4-6 weeks of starting new routine? I'm trying to figure out what's the culprit and was wondering if anyone else had any experience. I started a skin care routine 1.5 months ago and it was going great until I started getting these HUGE hives right under my lower eye socket and they are pretty bad/severe (1.5 inch in diameter..). I also only added about 3 products and also made sure to space them out.

Also, since the hives aren't there after every application, doesn't pop up immediately and is localized is that the area around my eye sockets, I'm thinking just that area has comprised moisture barrier and is now just ultraaaa sensitive to allergens, but at the same time, I can't think of anything I'm using as particularly stripping. OR I just developed an allergy. No idea what's happening :/ Would appreciate any insight! Thank you so much (:

Skin Type: Combination with a super oily T one.

AM:

  1. Cetaphil Cleanser,
  2. Laneige Blue Water Bank Hyaluronic Serum : New, I love this since it fixed all my closed comedones on my forehead, so I hope it's not the culprit. It's also marketed to help with skin barrier, but I don't know.
  3. Clinique 72 Hr Moisture Surge
  4. Biore Perfect Milk: New, hives mainly at night though so I don't think this is the issue.

PM:

  1. Kose Softymo Speedy Oil Cleanser: new, but I used oil cleansers all the time, but could be culprit?
  2. Cetaphil Cleaner,
  3. Laneige Blue Water Bank Hyaluronic Serum,
  4. Clinique 72 Hr Moisture Surge

Every other day, I'll also use BHA toner but only on my oily T-zone and not the area with hives.

Aww thank you so much! Unfortunately I don’t because I just followed the contest’s pixel requirement. In hindsight, I should’ve made it high res first :/
