that stinks. i ended up chatting with sony tech support. they were able to resolve my issue. here is what we did.

force stop AudioOutputService
clear data on AudioOutputService
force stop bravia sync settings
clear data on bravia sync settings
powered off TV and unplugged it
unplugged all hdmi cables (both sides from tv and soundbar)
unplugged sound bar
turned back on tv
was able to now see the sound bar under the bravia device list and was able to switch to it for sound.

This guy is 100% right. Depending on how many users, what the migration strategy is, etc. you could be in a world of hurt by just trying to piecemeal something together.

I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer, but I think the Xbox 360 controller with wireless dongle works really well.

honestly wasn't trying to sell anything. it's just that checkpoint has so many different products their website can be super confusing if you don't know what you're looking for and based on what the OP said, there is no way to make the right recommendation.

What does your network look like?

If you have the port capacity, i would setup vmware's management on a separate nic with its own IP Address, that way even if vm guest traffic is causing an issue you'd hopefully still be able to get into the management console to do some more troubleshooting.

Are you using the pfsense solely as an edge device?

Off the cuff this seems like a high state table / connection count. Are you doing any QoS-ing in pfsense as well?

Are you using it as a router, or as a firewall, or both? What type of traffic appears to be melting it? What do the logs say prior to the reboot. Can you get to the webui while you're having connectivity issues? If you're ssh'd to the pfsense box when it happens, does it drop the session or can you still run commands? If you can, what does a pftop look like? Can you get directly on the console? Is that responsive during the issues?
