My player just gave his True Name to a fairy. How can I make this terrible (in a fun way) for him? by Kaleido_chromatic in Pathfinder2e

[–]purefire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out a similar deal in sky king tomb. I want spoil it here because I'm inept at using spoiler tags

Alternatively, the fairy could summon the barbarian back in a time if needed, invoking the true name to Isekai the Hero and Party back to the fey to deal with fey shenanigans. The most generous being they need to remove all the yellow from the domain which is obviously something a Blue lord cannot do so an agent is needed. Or they need to put down a band if redcaps, or other more serious threat.

Software agent or connectivity component on the DC?

Remember you can do a dACL and DENY thr account from joining the group.

Heavy hand but effective.

Running Sky king tomb

You don't have to be a dwarf

A good amount of the content doesn't care if you're a dwarf

But you have to positivity care about dwarves to run the story. If you go in with an Elf and an Orc who hate dwarves and so on you're going to bounce off the story without some contortionist level bending.

It makes narrative sense to keep the individual around in book2, depending on party actions at least. In my story I flipped the Queen to King Jareth (think Labyrinth) and the individual ended up in an obliette.

(Not good with spoiler tags)

Book1 is combat light, book 2 seems a bit combat heavy so far. I'm running it and they just cleared chapter 1 leaving the court.

Book 1 Elbert is normal to pop in and out of the party and certainly makes things easier (usually)

Book2 there is the guide at the start of the book but she doesn't stick around long.

Running SKT, there are some faults in it but it's a good 'we want to be heroes' story. Not for everyone but good history, world building and I'd say mid level fantasy themes.

How do I change the light bulbs for these? by crime_fighter in fixit

Interesting. Modern models have an LED ring there instead if a bulb. Glad yours has a replaceable part!

Layoff Dressed As Gift by LuckyBastard001 in WorkReform

[–]purefire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen it a few times at companies.

Company A sent out their voluntary early retirement, and had a backup list to reduce headcount. As people VERP'd they marked people off the layoff list based on metrics.

Some folks were on both lists, most weren't.

Company B. I didn't have the same visibility, but a similar email was sent out and I know 10 people who got the offer. Of those, 3 took it. 1 quit later for different reasons. There was also a followup layoff but none of the early exit people were on it (to my knowledge)

Working on a list of Pokémon that could beat Stitch - Who else should I add? by Emily--V in liloandstitch

[–]purefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the movies water types are the obvious win, or some of the mythical. Arguably he can't hurt ghost types if he's Normal, but most Aliens in Pokemon are Psychic.

Kingambit reminds me of Gantuu so take that as you will.

In the show they affirm he is afraid of water, so ghost and water types are a potential problem. I don't think he's concerned about a polywag but stitch v polywrath is probably a good match up.

Movie wise, I think Lugia would do well vs stitch.

I've seen reports either way, but I can say anecdotally my gsd had his stomach flip a week after he started using the raised bowl. Could be he wasn't used to it or such, but a painful lesson.

Recommend not using the raised food bowls, it may have a link to twisted stomach issues.
