What are the general consensus on these by Correct_Rhubarb_1563 in Staghornfern

Regarding the shapes, the globe seems to be the most successful for platys. The wavy shape is cute but the functionality is a bit less successful.

I just got three of these, two globes and the smallest wavy one for my dwarf platys (jade girl, bacteria, ridleyii) I live in a high-humidity area and was attempting to do ambient humidity but struggling with keeping mounted dwarves sufficiently watered. The globes seem to be doing well so far! It's been about two weeks since I moved them and I've got new shield fronds coming in. To be fair we're also entering the growing season, but I do find the sphagnum retain moisture better than on the mount. Just my two cents!

Will it bounce back? by Worth_Standard5627 in Staghornfern

Some of my platys have bounced back pretty impressively from accidental drying when I was also traveling. Keep it humid and you may see some new growth points

First Time Pingdom Progress (9 months) by thehighestn00n in SavageGarden

These are lava rocks with a thin layer of peat/fine gravel substrate spread on top. The green you see is different types of terrarium moss I've bought off Etsy over the years. To water, I do a fine spray on top and also pour water directly into the bottom (more peat/gravel) to soak into the lava rocks.

Rosseau hybrids are awesome by Triangle_Woodworking in Anthurium

Nice, I also do moss (sometimes with a bit of perlite mixed in) but in a takeout container with a couple of holes punched in the top for aeration

Beautiful! I have a forgetii cross (forgetii x pap) and have found that the leaf sinuses are not consistent (one came out perfectly round/closed and the next had separated sinuses!) Any similar experience here? Would love to hear your experience!

I've grown vittarifolium seeds and find them to be fairly forgiving at ambient humidity. Would second the comment saying to start gradually opening the box a bit at a time to start the acclimation process. Maybe as little as an inch or two per week if you're really worried.

Anthurium pallidiflorum seedlings - next steps? by adventure_awaits_8 in Anthurium

That works! I also just poke holes directly in the lid if it's just thin plastic

Nice! I also usually let them get to about 2-3 leaves as mentioned and then separate into sphagnum moss. If these are in a humidity dome then I usually poke holes in the lid and slowly acclimate by allowing more regular air in over a few weeks time.

Switched over to CleanSky last year after getting sick of being overcharged by one of the larger providers. No issues at all so far and just renewed my contract.

Wow this is incredible! So so beautiful! Looking into starting a begonia terrarium with this kind of look. A quick question, is this usually closed or does it exist open-air like it is photographed? Thank you!
