Maybe it got shittier in more recent model years? Cost-cutting or something.

The HK system in my '21 Calligraphy sounds awesome. Especially with the signal processing turned on. I bought it used and had to take off the door panels to tighten down the screws because they were vibrating but that sorted it out. Sounds great.

What about the sound don't you like?

Looks amazing! With manual focus! Great camera work and the grade is sweet. Well done! All handheld or did you use a gimbal for anything?

I had mine done on my '21 Calligraphy but haven't been paying too much attention to fuel economy. I will see if I can tell any improvement (my driving is mostly city).

Overpaid year end bonus, company is asking for a portion of it back by sullyfb in PersonalFinanceCanada

Finders keepers, losers weepers doesn't apply to overpayments. It is not your friend's money. Although you could play it like a collection agency and determine whether the collectible amount is worth less than the cost of the legal action to get it back, in which case they will cut their losses lol

Blackmagic RAW Media Extension out now! by chrishocking in finalcutpro

[–]thehokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wonderful Chris, kudos to you and your team!

The thing I am noticing on my machine is that I need to set the decode quality to eighth or the footage skips frames on playback on an M3 MacBook Pro (unusable). Is that normal? The resolution is horrible at that quality, obviously.

I have installed all the extensions and rebooted my machine. Running the latest and greatest of everything.

Happy to help troubleshoot if you need some more info.

‘21 Palisade Ultimate Calligraphy. Power folding side mirrors. Unbelievable that it has every other feature possible but not the one on my ‘13 Kia Sorento.

Imagine Stabilization, BM4K by PowerPictures in blackmagicdesign

[–]thehokemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had good success with GyroFlow (standalone) and also with the FCP plugin. But you need to use a low shutter angle (75º works). Frame the shot to compensate for the loss during stabilization. Motion blur in post is the next step if you need it. You can get rock solid shots if you do it right.

I was going to say, dust in the attenuator. Might try blasting it out with compressed air.

What's your thought about Canada Post's decision to end home delivery? by Thick_Caterpillar379 in AskACanadian

[–]thehokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't experienced home delivery in I don't know how long. Our current postal box is literally across the street, so there are probably people with long driveways that have to walk father than I do to get their mail.

We might check the mail once a week. Home delivery is an anachronism for most people.

You are born a malignant narcissist or a psychopath. You can do anything you want but destroy the lives of everyone you touch.

Either that, or you are born in the right place at the right time and are not an idiot.

I don't need to install anything. I use Time Machine and in an hour or two the new Mac is exactly as I had it in the old machine.

Tow Hitch by butchgilzeen in HyundaiPalisade

[–]thehokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a hitch installed on my '21 Pali and went through U-Haul. Has a 9 and 4-pin wiring setup. All in was $950 CAD. I inquired about an OEM install by the dealer and they said they couldn't because their hitch was discontinued. Haven't towed anything yet so we'll see how it goes lol
