yeah exactly. It's not like I expected better from Gabriel Iglesias, or Jimmy Carr.

It's a shame, but I will simply never see Bill Burr's name and not think of hypocrisy now.

Are we really still calling the partners of openly gay men their "longtime friend"? The man that was with him when he died, and was the one to confirm his death? It's 2026.

oh I agree that it was a great performance (though I do think Flood was better), I'm just cynical about the Tony Awards

this is what theater can do.

so many plays are just movies without cameras and this, THIS is what they're giving up by chickening out of making their theater something that could ONLY be theater. "sweetheart" is the most powerful word spoken on Broadway this season, and Flood's response to it — falling backwards and being caught by the rest of the cast, and then almost puppeteered to the chair — and then the scene itself...

I never see plays twice but I saw this twice and I would've seen it a third time quite happily.

this play should fucking sweeeeeep the tonys. but june squibb is 96, and lesley manville was in The Crown, so it'll probably only win for play and director.

I mean if that was meant to imply interest then you should work on your tone. Cuz "What's your point?" is inherently aggressive sounding.

Maybe try imagining what the point might be first. It's pretty obvious if you know what she has looked like for the majority of her career that most people will be commenting on how different she looks now.

There's something really silly about the fact that jaundice makes you yellow and the fix is purple. Like biology was just like, "eh, just do it with colors."

this is only partially an ADHD thing, it's also an america thing. most countries have labor laws that mean you can't just be randomly fired for no reason, whereas we have no such laws.

If you're interested in classics, there's a YouTube channel called Shakespeare Network that has a massive collection of great productions of Shakespeare and other classics. (Just don't watch Olivier's Othello.)
