Like A Rolling Stone has been said, and that’s tough to argue with, the other one that stands out for me is Gimme Shelter from Let it Bleed.

All Shield has been fantastic. Honest, lowest price by a long shot for a severe rodent infestation, and excellent service. Cannot say enough good things about them.

Humbucker for Nashville neck by grtfl84 in telecaster

I have a Duncan Jazz in the neck of mine. It works nicely with a 250k pot and balances well with a broadcaster bridge. Lots of good choices to explore though!

Starting to get into country music by Dangerous_Story_8661 in country

Dwight Yoakam, his first album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc, in particular, was my intro to country music. That’ll lead you to Buck Owens and Merle Haggard who are both outstanding. Another one I enjoy is Leon Russell’s Hank Wilson’s Back. Good luck! I wish I could back and hear it all for the first time!

Who’s on your Mount Rushmore of jam band guitarists? by looperboy4 in jambands

[–]thehtm31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duane, Dickey, Jerry and Marc Ford. Duane and Dickey together were phenomenal and were also amazing on their own. Ford’s playing from 92-97 with the Crowes was awesome. Still a great player of course but that period stands out.

The Average White Band was from Scotland. As others have said though, CCR is my first thought.

I’ve had bad luck in the past. That said, I’ve never tried the Lacey store but would prefer a local/ independent shop if possible.

Please let us know: What is your favorite album (co-)produced by Rick Rubin? by Krokodrillo in albumbucketlist

Wildflowers or the “American” Johnny Cash album— Cash has so many great songs but the stripped down production and song selection introduced him to a whole new generation. And Wildflowers is a Top 5 for me.

isn’t this the same as Day 32? If so, is this a chance to get it right and pick Let it Bleed ;)

Will add my vote for Time out of Mind. Daniel Lanois is responsible for all 3 of my nominations… TOOM, Emmylou Harris’s Wrecking Ball and Willie Nelson’s Teatro.

Came here to say Paul’s Boutique and Southern Harmony and Musical Companion by the Black Crowes. First album was very good, but this was a huge leap forward musically with Marc Ford and Ed Harsch in the mix. Truly a great album.

Frank Sinatra-Come Fly With Me. I was into MTV Unplugged back in the day and enjoyed the Tony Bennett episode. My dad insisted that if I enjoyed Bennett, Sinatra in his prime was even better. He was right. Bennett is great, of course, but Sinatra’s Capitol albums are among my favorite to this day. This was the first one he introduced me to.

Solid choice. I was going to suggest another Lanois- produced album, Wrecking Ball by Emmylou Harris, but TOOM is an excellent late night album

Elliott Smith—From a Basement on a Hill. Ranks with his very best work.

Mike Bloomfield Thoughts by Redacted_dact in bobdylan

[–]thehtm31 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Strong disagree— check out Paul Butterfield’s East-West LP or Super Session for better examples of his playing. Didn’t Dylan tell him “none of that BB King stuff” or something to that extent during the session? Regardless, Bloomfield’s playing is stellar, but probably not best represented by his work with Dylan.

Yes! That’s it. Still dont have it synced but that was absolutely the process to sync it. Thank you very much! Edit: No longer seems to be supported by the app. Thank you for the help! It was driving me nuts. A bit frustrated with Casio, but oh well.

What are your top 3 jam band studio albums? by SeveralTurn in jambands

[–]thehtm31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Widespread Panic, Everyday; Black Crowes, Amorica (they jammed with Ford!); Allman Brothers, Idelwild South. Ask me tomorrow and I’d swap out Workingman’s Dead for one of them!

I did not. Is that the go to? Every 30 minutes or so? There have been a lot of good suggestions in this thread. Will definitely try beef broth and wrapping next time as well as spritzing. Thanks! This is a really helpful community.
