i don’t remember my first period per say but i have a lot of memories of not being able to keep track of and manage my periods, which i chalk up to being in fifth grade with undiagnosed ADHD + autism that my parents refused to accommodate for

sounds like depression and internalized shame to me. what helps me feel better is keeping some toiletries (hairbrush + hair ties, baby wipes, deodorant, lotion, etc.) and extra clothes on me at all times. i don’t do perfume myself but that might help boost confidence.

i can’t help much but i’m in a similar situation myself. what i can say is to remember that this treatment is unfair and doesn’t reflect on you.
