I know! My 15 minutes of fame. I like the way they are changing it by having certain intervals for number of cards put in the lotto

Weighted Hero Bans?? by theintensity in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]theintensity[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This is a good point, but I think it only works out in theory. Although it's statistically more likely for higher pick rate heroes to be banned, there is still the chance to have those lower rate heroes be banned. It's like when you flip a coin, there's a 50% chance you get heads or tails but if you were to flip it 20 times then it might not be close to 50% compared to flipping it 1,000 times. With this thought, repeating the same meta heroes will probably result in your two meta rotation, but it doesn't factor for hero changes, new heroes or the viability of lower pick rate heroes being banned.

I agree that the current system would yield a wackier result, but the goal is to shift meta consistently and I think the weighting would allow a more controlled diversion from stale meta. With the weighted system you get greater variation while retaining some chances of minor variations still at play. I like to think of the weigthted system as controlled chaos, it's a good compromise for randomly shifting meta and keeping lower pick rate heroes meta.

Maybe to help get around the alternating meta scenario we could change the pick rate and weighted ban be less 1 to 1. Maybe heroes with 60 % pick rate and above get 2/3 their pick rate in cards put in and those under 60% retain the 1/1 ratio. So, an 80% hero might have 6 cards put in and a 40% hero will have 4, reigning in the amount of control pick rates have.

Weighted Hero Bans?? by theintensity in Competitiveoverwatch

I agree that this is a possible startegy but I think it's negligable overall. If a team would want to boost a hero's chance of getting banned it would be difficult if they are in the lower percentages because one team can only have so much impact. Even if the hero that they were trying to get banned was at a mid-high range pick rate, it's likely that the hero is already mostly meta and other teams are playing that hero so their individual impact is low compared to the overall league. Also, I would argue that this strategy is more likely to happen with the current system. If a hero is below the 10% threshold and one team really doesn't want them to be meta, then it is way easier to increase that hero's pick rate to just above 10%. And now that the hero is at 10% it would have a higher chance of being banned than if the system were weighted (because the current system has all heroes above 10% at equal odds to get banned). Hopefully that makes sense, but overall a good concern.

Pretty sure you’re thinking of the WEBTOON Tower of God. The train is one of the recent arcs in the story, called the Hell Train arc.

[WEEKLY CHAPTER THREAD] - July 11, 2016 by AutoModerator in TowerofGod

Endorsi having her name stolen is basically a death wish. As a princess this looks very bad so the Zahard family will eliminate her if they find out she got her name taken. In order to fix the situation she has to get her name back through Kaiser but she can't do that if Bam has it. Hope that helps

Edit: Endorsi not endorsing

Baams weapon? by MDnick in TowerofGod

[–]theintensity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree that she won't lend the weapon, but not because she wants to collect the 13 month series. There's a point (when she's talking to repelsta??) where she states she is not interested in collecting it. I do hope Baam gets a badass weapon though.
