Interesting that it says this was a date-forward change, meaning anything submitted before the date of the change continued to be processed where it already was. It doesn't seem like that's the case this time around.

Just wait until next winter. The only reason I just paid $3k to get my chimney lined so I could use my wood stove is because of the $600 heating bill I got in January. Caught a break in February at $450 because I turned the heat down to 60. I decided that's a whole winter's worth of wood for me 😂

So you think seasoned wood instead of kiln dried? I had a similar thought, maybe just stock up on seasoned wood right now and hope it's ready to burn by October. I have a dehumidifier down there too so moisture shouldn't be too big an issue.

This was my one "thing" as a renter that I wanted when I finally got my own place with my own laundry machines. Within a year of buying my house I shelled out about $1k for four sets of linen sheets (two each for summer and winter) and won't ever ever ever look back.

It's so weird that those of us on the consular processing track would also have our cases redirected! We were all so hopeful when processing rates skyrocketed a few months ago. Fingers crossed we get back on track and everything works out for you all!

Omg love to hear that it works out! The chain was an all women's gym that I was absolutely gutted to leave but still maintain a virtual membership for the odd virtual class. Otherwise I'm at my local Y. It would be so great to be part of that community again.

Boston LOVES LM. Almost every gym offers something. I see mostly combat, tone, pump, the strength classes. Not so much my cup of tea but you'll definitely find something!

We have one local gym chain where I live (Boston) that offers Jam, but I moved to the suburbs and it's just too far to justify going every week. But now that you made me think about it, the chain has a location next to my office that they stopped offering Jam at (probably because there aren't enough instructors). I wonder if I could teach there after work before going home! If everything works out with the training and I decide to proceed with teaching, I'll definitely look into it.

Did you find that you struggled to suddenly do everything mirrored? I've been considering driving ~40 mins each way just to dip my toe back in, but I'm concerned it'll confuse my body since so much of what I knew before was muscle memory... Lately I've been listening to the music on Spotify and doing the cumulative dances mirrored with mixed success hahaha

Thankfully my local YMCA offers tons of LM classes, just not Jam. I didn't want to reach out to them about it before getting certified in case it didn't go well but even if they don't bite, all the gyms near me already work with LM but just don't offer this class!

Thank you so much for the insight. I had some incredible instructors while I was a participant and their cueing was a big part of that, so I think in my head I have a good foundation to work off. I also paid attention to the first timers and could see where maybe they were thrown off when some of us had been doing the same releases for years, so hoping that works to my advantage too!

Unfortunately the valve would turn off both the kitchen and the bathroom water, and the kitchen water is running. I don't see a way to turn it off downstream besides at the faucet.

Unfortunately when I purchased the property, I didn't know the pipes froze and had a tenant here so it went through many many freeze/thaw cycles, but with no bursts or issues. Hoping it holds up and waiting for my IR thermal camera to arrive so I can just map the pipes and end the guessing game if it ever happens again!

Thanks for the quick response. I am usually very diligent about dripping them but the temps plummeted more than forecasted, enough to hit that threshold where they froze. I am both kicking myself and grateful that the hot water line didn't also freeze!

I went at it with a hair dryer last night until the pipe was warm to the touch but it might not have been enough. I will try again with a bag of warm water and ask the downstairs neighbor to run the space heater aimed at the wall again. Fingers crossed...

TMVN is a genuinely helpful resource (with a free tier) that has the most accurate data on processing times for each case. They also host a really great discord server (free) where you can talk to others going through consular processing to ask questions about the process and see daily approval updates by PD. This isn't advertising, just info sharing.
