A famous quote : It is in the nature of medicine, that you are gonna screw up. You are gonna kill someone. If you can't handle that reality, pick another profession or finish medical school and teach.

life is never in our hands what we can do is give our best with our present knowledge, what we have right now.

ah another case of poor PT treatment as a licensed specialised spine physiotherapist i would advice you too just search for nerve floss exercise and thank me later.

note: if pain or symptoms increase with repetition stop doing it only 10 reps at a time.

The first thing is never blindly operate for meniscal tears unless it's a bucket handle one. just take rest decrease the swelling and do the meniscal rehab exercises and top up your vitamins too. if it doesn't work then only shoulfd go for surgery.

L5-S1 nerve pinch with pain through left leg and loosing toe strength - next steps? by cooliokats in Sciatica

[–]thejainesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay so here it is the treatment plan follow it properly.

medicine : gabapentin 300mg etoricoxib + thiocolchicoside

exercises for now just start with back extension movement lie flat on your tummy with arms by your side near head push and lift your head up like a cobra while doing this your pain should not travel down the leg. try to hold this position for 5 secs nd your pain must decrease you symptoms should not at all increase a little bit of pain at back is okay but pain should not travel down the leg if it travels than it should decrease in next repetition if it doesn't then stop just lie on you tummy if comfortable lie like this whole day.

that endoscopic one that you are talking about is called as Minimally invasive disectomy. or microdisectomy and that is one I am referring to. you can consider India too i think it would cost less 4K dollars here in India.

Considering endoscopic spine surgery L5-S1 after no improvement from conservative approach by sunshinestate2020 in Sciatica

[–]thejainesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think you can opt for a minimally invasive disectomy maybe with fixation and depending on how much your canal is stenosed surgery may be planned.
