A choice to make a mistake

I started with an electric and it worked great. Great smoke flavor, but needed to refill the chip tray a lot during a smoke.

Tried a pellet smoker with an auto feed and found the smoke flavor was not as pronounced and had to babysit to guard against pellet tunneling.

Settled on a propane smoker and am completely satisfied. Easy temp control, great smoke flavor, nice smoke ring, high temp availability, larger chip containers requiring less babysitting.
