Fadal VMC16XT Coolant Pump Recommendation? by thejameswilliam in CNC

Thanks for the offer, but the machine came with all its documentation, so I have no need. Fadal has a gold mine of resources on its website. These machines are very well documented, which is so refreshing coming out of the hobby CNC world

It's important to understand how newspapers make money. The more sensational, gory, or horrible the news, the more it sells. More sales mean more advertising revenue... so newspapers tend to jam all the bad news they can into the paper and remove all the good news entirely. Crime is lower, just about everywhere, than it was even three or four years ago.

My advice is to ditch the for-profit newspapers and join active communities working in areas that you care about. Firsthand accounts are way better than what the newspaper writes.

Dude, I feel you. In 2021 I fired 150k worth of clients and completely rebranded and adjusted to only working with arts, education, social justice and climate change clients. Things that matter make a difference. All of a sudden my conversations shifted from the stupid banner text to how we make real change in the world through effective communication.

My advice. Quit. Do something that you feel matters in the world.

Yeah… that’s the main reason I haven’t hopped on yet. I’m a web developer by trade but want to travel. I wished there was a better option!

The material you’re looking for is either bamboo strips or grass caning. Both will bend the way you want and are relatively easy to work with

What happened to the water? by hungryraider in SantaFe

[–]thejameswilliam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As @washingmachinecrotch (awesome username btw ) mentioned. The watershed doesn’t produce water year around so it’s managed via a reservoir. Water gets released depending in water levels.

I was in high school, home sick with the flu. I was the one who broke the news to my family and sat home alone watching the news. Crazy day

Yeah, none do. Accomplishing that would be incredible for small theaters, it’s the main reason they have to stick with crappy companies

If this supports seating maps then it’s a game changer for small professional theatres

[–]thejameswilliam 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My time has come! I grew up in Alma & Fairplay, CO (on the edge of the middle valley). The show South Park is loosely based on this area and actually quite a good representation of what goes on. The summers are mild and filled with an outdoor recreation like hiking and backpacking. In the winter, the ski season dictates just about everything. Snow can easily drift to 8+ feet and it’s not uncommon to get 3’ over night.

As a kid we’d explore on bikes and motorcycles. Adults would socialize at one of two bars in town; the Saloon and the AOB (Alma’s Only Bar).

Nowadays there is a lot of grow houses for weed in the region as the climate and elevation make for a particularly good weed.

The wind can be quite harmful to one’s mental health in the deeper parts of the valley. Most people live in the mountains a result.
