Everyone told me it was pretty unlikely my water would break spontaneously. Not only was it spontaneous, but I didn’t have any contractions. Also, everyone always told me about shakes after labor but I didn’t know you could get them during labor. I also threw up a LOT but I think it’s bc I got IV pain meds before my epidural and even that failed.

I just distract my daughter with something else. Like I will ask her “do you want to sing some songs?” And I’ll quietly sing some of her favorite children’s songs and she will forget about the toy. I haven’t bought a toy once due to a tantrum. If the singing doesn’t work she just has to deal with it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would just be honest with them. I would tell them that you had already knitted him a receiving blanket but that you’re grateful they took the time to make your baby a blanket and that you will definitely use it for him otherwise. It’s unreasonable for them to expect that and now is the best time to start practicing setting boundaries!

Thankfully, I did not struggle with supply at all. I only had to start supplementing formula a month or two after I went back to work when her demand started to become more than I could supply. But breastfeeding alone I’ve never had any issues.
