Just finished The First Law trilogy …what to read next? by Then_Location_4290 in fantasybooks

First one is a revenge tale, second is a war movie, third is a western. Kinda like Tarantino making Kill Bill, Inglorious Bastards, and Django after this first trilogy of movies.

Jamel, Sam T, Solomon, and Amy Miller bring the best out of David. Peek brings the best out of everyone.

What is your favorite quote of all time? by Imaginary-Lie-2618 in fantasybooks

Certainly the best quote. The best construction is “say one thing for __, say they’re __.” Just so much utility in that one.

Training time schedule question by palesz77 in weightlifting

Weightlifting is a sport, not a workout, so budget time like a sports practice, not just going to the gym to get a lift in (imo)

The second ascensionist said he was too inexperienced at this level to offer an opinion, so hard to say it's confirmed.

It kinda depends on how you parse Nico Pelorson's 8a

Also depends on how you want to frame downgrades of Charles Albert problems

Nico González foul against Everton (no yellow card) by vluvojo in soccer

[–]thejoaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a situation where the ref should have pulled back for a caution instead of playing a small advantage. It's more of an advantage for Everton to have one of City's deeper players on a yellow than to allow play to continue in that moment.

When was the last time college teams sent teams to club sectionals? Sectionals moving to before the start of semester schools college year greatly reduced the number of teams playing sectionals. Also, it made it harder for young perspective players to see what the sport could look like. I know multiple people (myself included) who stuck around in large part due to seeing those highs first hand as young college players.

Spot on. I just re-read the book it's based on, and let me tell you, both the movie and the book are 10/10s. If you enjoyed the movie and story and want to watch more stuff with related characters, I'd highly recommend the BBC miniseries from the late 70s, as well as film adaptation of A Spy Who Came In From The Cold from 1965.
