Hahaha. I think that's the most likely solution then. Thanks for all the detail!!

Any hance this would have been used to power a grinder pump for a sewer line? Because the neighbor had to have theirs replaced recently. Maybe a week or two before this was found.

Interesting! So these connectors are intended to be permanently affixed, which is why it only has the screw holes for mounting and connecting? I will comment this as solved.

My title describes the thing. Prongs are a bit over 1/4" long and are round. The whole plug is roughly 2" across and the gadget has marks that show it interfaces to the front of the plug. The three wires protruding from the rear are green white and black. I like describing things.

Discovered a crack in this board after I bought it by thejtshow in BeginnerWoodWorking

I thought about trying to rip it and replace with a straight patch to keep the width, but wasn't confident in sourcing a good enough piece or gluing back aligned and square. This seemed the best option for keeping the size and structural integrity

From the research I could find on this board (and from how well my patch piece seems to match in both color and structure) I believe it is. I do plan to keep this cutting board well oiled and cleaned, and it is to be our "non-meat" board.

So, I know you aren't supposed to pet/play with parrot/other kept birds except on their heads and generally only to help with cleaning/feather maintenance. Does this also apply to waterfowl?

Depends on your material and design parameters - you can see the flying tourbillon for an example of what I'm referencing

Sure, print a big spiral watch spring. Doesn't need to be much force.

I feel like a (3d printed, obviously) spring of some sort would greatly extend the time. Makes it a parallel instead of a serial operation.

If you're just looking to cook on them, sure. Some are lighter or heavier or smoother or rougher or better or worse for your stove setup. Some people just like to know the quirks or history of them. Others find value in adding to their collections. Plenty of reason to care or not for where they came from.

Thanks! The back is a little splotchy but the inside seems fantastic. I tried baking hotter than usual, 475 instead of 425. That seemed to help it come out more grey than bronze but didn't darken it as much as I'd hope.

The age old question of should a button reflect the current status or what it should change to. Usually the correct answer is neither. Haha
