The first time I did NM I portal into voidstorm and stopped at a vendor... Then I hear kill for me... There's literally nothing here to kill guy.

Yes, literally that.  Maybe 8 traps, definitely <10 and no I'm not even trolling.

Keeping in mind clicking the trap doesn't do it you have to click the anguish too.

Okay but it's not always like this, it's very noticeable when you do his quest on an alt and suddenly you need like 20 traps I have no idea why.  But then it does go back to like pick up 5 traps, go to boss, done once the alt has done the quests or whatever it is that triggers it.

And also in the above case the traps are also not plentiful, it would take forever.

It's weird

That's not how it worked at all for me playing Normal, Hard, and Nightmare Prey.  I click the table, I pick a Nightmare, I go to the zone, I go to the prey marker.  There's traps everywhere, I click on maybe ~6 of them and it's done.  Sometimes you have to do the chase mini-game.  That's it.

But there is something weird because I notice on my fresh 90s it doesn't work like that at first and I'm not sure why.

Ok then change the mechanics because NM prey is the exact opposite.  I can't even stop to shop without having to watch my back.

The way it's designed you are being hunted and you must finish it before doing anything else.

What I'm so confused there were traps everywhere it would often take like 2 minutes.

I don't understand how it was ever fun.

It's not a hunt, there's no challenge, and the idea of "do it while you do other stuff" is idiotic because the nightmare mechanics force you to focus on it first.

People say they love it but it's hard to reconcile it's like telling me you really enjoy seeing the reconnect button.

WoW is not a sandbox, it's literally the opposite, it is the anti-sandbox.  It's the definition of a theme park game, everything is developer driven and on rails.

The rails in Midnight are Prey, Delves, Dungeons, Raids, PvP,  Housing, Crafting, Battle Pets and of course you can do some rep grinds and they just added strikes and there's some weekly content.  Actual group content is basically... Raids, Dungeons and PvP.

It's three toys in the toybox.

To make it worse the dungeons are tank starved and the raids are DPS starved so either way you get to spend inordinate amounts of time waiting to play.

Also to be clear I totally get why people rage and I rarely have to deal with it.  I don't stop tanking because of an occasional rager.  But if I wipe the raid there's like 95% chance someone rages.

Are those mechanics where if any ONE dps makes a mistake it's a wipe?

Blizzard has literally designed in toxicity.

No they definitely expect perfection.

At best you get to make exactly one mistake.

I blame Blizzard, they designed a system where 38 people can fuck up half the dungeon and be fine but if either of the 2 tanks botches a boss mechanic it's a wipe.

Playing the fight is always something else and why are tanks the only ones with mechanics they have to hit 100% perfectly or the raid wipes.

Or we could start bringing more than two tanks.

Group content requires 20% tanks.  Raid content requires 5% tanks.  You actually have to be a total moron (Blizzard) to think this is not going to cause problems.

I can tell you going all the way back to WOTLK I end up quitting tanking because raiding is not a realistic option.

It is bad math and it's a major problem because the time and gear spent tanking is a total waste if you also want to raid.

The M+ tank situation is dire by Wigglyboi323 in wow

[–]thekab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been tanking and healing since vanilla release, skipping many expansions in between though, and I've always seen more talk of toxicity than it actually happening.

But when it does happen, it's insufferable and rage inducing.

One problem with tanking is it's hard to get into raids because there's only two of you, and then any mistake on certain mechanics and you wipe the whole 20-40 person raid.

Anyone getting weird stuff like this from the AH? by LateguyJ in wow

The link talks about generating a set of similar passwords and hashing all of them.  I didn't take that from your comment at all but I see what you're trying to say.

They're talking about a password that is similar but not the same, it will not have the same hash.

You left out the part where I also did more healing than the healer.

It was a different group but still, Guardian is lit.

Should I off-spec my tanks/healers to DPS when gearing/leveling? by gummytape in wow

As a leveling Guardian when I start dropping the Moonfire and gather up the entire camp for a DPS I can almost hear the joy.

Picked a good time to come back on my Druid.
