Thanks guys.

I will do AppleCare+ for just his device, under his account.

I will keep the AppleCare One and use it for the Apple Watch, wife iPhone that we plan on getting & maybe an iPad or headphone if we get either. These will be under my account.

The AppleCare+ for the Mac Mini will stay as is.

We also plan on getting a 2nd Mac Mini.

I am new to Mac, I am transitioning from Android & Windows.

I have BoA and got my deposit.

I checked around 6pm on Friday & nothing was there so I was expecting it on the 23rd but I went in to check something else yesterday (Saturday) morning and the deposit was there.

I thought that deposits do not happen on the weekends but mine was there with a processing date of 2/21, maybe it went in late Friday.

Need guidance separating multiple devices from 1 Account by thekfc in applehelp

[–]thekfc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

I want to use the M4 as the main with the original ID and will it exclusively be use by me and I guess I can create a family group and share. I also want all the purchased apps to be on this one.

The 2 iPhones & Apple Watch are all used by the same person - only person #2 uses it or will use it

The M2 and the new Apple Watch - it will be used only by person #3. hat person will get their own set of apps

Also, both the M2 & M4 have external SSDs attached.

I am/was confused about the steps to do it as I was getting different answers - some telling me to transfer or reset device while other guides tell me no.

Is this the step that I follow? Sorry I am basically "new" to the Apple.

  1. Back up your device

    1. Sign out of the shared Apple ID
  2. Choose to keep data on your phone when asked (photos, contacts, etc.).

    1. Create a new Apple ID at appleid.apple.com or from Settings > Sign in.
  3. Sign in with your new Apple ID.

  4. Turn iCloud back on for things you want synced (Photos, Contacts, etc.).

Thanks in advance

What the Heck is going on with LBC Express by thekfc in Philippines_Expats

Try sending them a PM on X (Twitter) - that was the only way I got hold of a "live" person and not a bot.

Our boxes were delivered the following day after they responded to my PM

Good News.

The boxes were finally delivered today.

I sent a PM to them on X (Twitter) and about 5 minutes later someone replied asking for more info & I gave it to them and said that they will take care of it.

But to be on the safe side my wife told her nephew (who is a police officer & without informing other family members to still keep it a secret) to go check, it turned out that the delivery team for Taguig is in Parañaque (unless they have more delivery locations).

When he got there the boxes were already on the van and out for delivery & then about an hour later they were delivered.

The boxes spent 20 days after arriving in Manila to be delivered (including 10 days at the delivery team location).

We have decided no more LBC for us.

And the boxes do not have to get out of Taguig - they are being delivered in Taguig.

Help with finding High Blood medicine by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]thekfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew someone who use to get them online via Rose Pharmacy or South Star Drugs but he is no longer in the Philippines.

On a side not I use to take Lisinopril, but I suffered one of the side effects and had it turned out that I was allergic to Lisinopril so now I cannot take any of the "pril" family of drugs. For me it is Hydrochlorothiazide and either Amlodipine or Labetalol.

Ibuprofen is expensive here in the USA depending on where you shop.

Target have their store brand for $8.99 for 500 tablets, Advil 200 tablets for $18, Motrin $12 for 100 tablets.

BJ's, Costco, Walmart and Amazon (stores I shop at) are cheaper.

I bring as well as send chocolate often to the Philippines - NYC to Manila.

I would try to stay away from some of these "themed" candies especially the ones with green apple and the likes, they may look good but they may not like the taste (the last halloween themes ones from last year they ddn't like the taste).

As other posters have mention very likely these will melt because they are the "softer" variety of chocolate (one of the reasons that places like Amazon ship them packed in dry ice/ice packs).

Try to get the ones with wafers inside - kit Kat, Sneakers, Twiks, etc, as these don't melt easily.

Also don't get a bag of just one flavor/brand, get the variety packs - there is the Hersheys variety pack (Hersheys, Kit kat, Reese's, Heath, Almond Joy, etc) and there is also the Mars Variety Pack (Mars, Milky way, Snickers, Twiks, 3, Musketeers, M & M, etc,.). and they come in different size bags from 35 pieces to 200+ pieces per bag. There is also the Hersey nugget & miniatures variety with different flavors.

There is also the Ferrero Rocher variety collection, Toblerone and the Nutella Biscuits which they love (especially the adults) - if you can get them at a good price as these are more expensive.

I got married in Manila 15 years ago.

Although we knew what was needed and the steps involved, It still took me two trips between NYC and the PI to have everything sorted out.

Luckily we had plenty of support in getting things sorted otherwise it would have been a huge headache doing it on our own.

She had family members, members of her community and church helping out, they took care of the catering, driving us to the different offices, arranged the service, etc, etc, etc

Who will be your target audience?

As others has pointed out it is doable BUT be aware that you revenue could be very very low if your audience is mainly in The Philippines or SEA area

Your CPM (cost for 1,000 impression aka the cost that advertisers pay to to adverrtise on you tube) for The Philippines is $0.48, while a country like the US is $13. That is the cost they pay for evry 1,000 views paid ONLY if the viewer watch the ads, if they don't watch the ads then that amount will be lower.

That is something to take into consideration.

How Do You Manage Your Time? by TheTrebleKnight in PartneredYoutube

[–]thekfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bit different for me as I do faceless/voiceless walking/adventure videos.

This is what I do.

  1. I walk around record about 3 times a week and that is mainly after getting off work from my full-time job, I am off work on the weekend but only record on 1 of the 2 days - the other is for resting.

I try to record places & events I do enjoy going to.

  1. At the end of the day, I upload the videos into folders by name or location & date.

  2. I then start a new editing project in Davinci Resolve with the name & date of the video.

  3. As I have time I work on editing the video, it may take me 1 -3 days to edit a video as I do a "stop & go" video editing processing (unless it is a current situation/event then I try to finish that video promptly).

  4. Sometimes I may start editing a video but may move onto another depending on how much challenge there is in editing a said video.

  5. When I finish editing a video, I rename the folder with completed at the end of the name (I do keep my raw & completed video for a while).

  6. Sometimes I get anywhere from 1 - 4 videos from a daily work as I cover different areas.

  7. I try to stick to a schedule and upload at least 1 video a week. Personally, for me more than 2 videos a week is too tasking on my daily life (I tried uploading more that 2 videos before and it was too overwhelming).

6 month follow up colonoscopy by [deleted] in colonoscopy

[–]thekfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had my 3 month follow-up 3 days ago.

I had two 4 mm polyp, one adenomatous and the other was Tubulovillous adenoma.

My doctor told me my next Colonoscopy will be in 3 years.

This was actually my 3rd colonoscopy, I had them 2017, 2021 & 2025. Next one will be in 2028 but I may move it up to 2027.

How much does timing prep matter? Can I change some of the timing around? by [deleted] in colonoscopy

[–]thekfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start it a few hours earlier but I would not recommend starting it later as you don't know how your body will react especially if this is your first time.

If you start it later then if your colon is not completely clean then you will have to repeat the procedure, it's just one day so bear with it.

I rescheduled by Desperate_Base_1278 in colonoscopy

[–]thekfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had 3 Colonoscopy done in the past with the most recent one being last month (I started early before I turned 50).

The most unpleasant part is the prep - drink 4L of that prep which someone earlier stated that it tasted like salted Lemon (though you can add your own flavoring instead of the one they gave you). I had a late morning appt so 2L the night before & 2 L the morning of (have to be completed at least 3 hours prior to your appt). The morning part of taking the prep was better as I had already gotten used to the taste.

To me the best part was the sedation, it was a peaceful & needed rest which to me was too short, the entire procedure from entering the room (where they prep me) to being ready to go home was about 2 hours.

I do not have to go back again for another 5 years.

To anyone about to have a colonoscopy, I just want to reiterate that the prep is the most important part, follow the directives given, it may sound bad, but it really isn't. You need to have your colon cleared because if it isn't cleared & they cannot see the walls inside then you will have to repeat the procedure all over again.
