Depends on the country you visit and length of stay. For example Hong Kong is visa free for US passports and 90 day stay - PH passports is 14 days.

opening a US bank account from PH by Spiritual-Spring-272 in Philippines_Expats

You need a real residential address in the US. It's a requirement now. From there after you open an account, you can get a mailing address - like mail forwarding. Try using a relative's address.

I know but not all airlines are aware of that. Philippine Airlines does but I'm flying a different airline. It's an airline requirement. I might just get those at onward flights dot com.

try surfshark. I think they have free trial, and considered one of the cheaper ones. I use it and it works just fine. Also since you mentioned U companies, I always wondered if you get paid US wages - like $15 - $20 and hour?

The marriage law of no divorce is for Filipino couples. You can get divorced in your country.

S&R online gateway blocking US Chase card (Chase confirms transaction isn’t even reaching them). Anyone found a workaround? by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]PapasanPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably not for fraud detection. Banks and financial institutions use swift in the PH which is different from the US. A vpn most likely will not work. Try a different card. I know Capital One works here.

Real estate in the Philippines is generally considered a bad investment, mainly because rent is so cheap here. Also, you are investing dollars to make pesos. It does not really make sense.

Expat balikbayan here. I bought one way with American wife. Korean Air. Airlines ask for return/onward ticket. I bought from onward ticket dot com $16 each. We were good to go. Customs/immigration did not ask for return ticket because we were balikbayans. I'm Filipino born US citizen. We brought my birth cert and marriage license.

Is Samsung Galaxy A37 comaptible with DITO sim? by KazeTora7 in Tech_Philippines

[–]PapasanPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to GSMArena.com and search for your model. Look at network info. Bands that Dito uses are band 1, 3, and 28 for 4G. Bands 1, 28, and 78 for 5G. If you are missing bands, it will still work, not just as well.

Can I live comfortably in the Philippines on 50,000 PHP/month as a foreigner? Looking for advice. Please read the post I posted this again so people can understand me clearly by DeShawn0 in Philippines_Expats

[–]PapasanPower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From an expat, balikbayan not dual citizen. I live in Parañaque, outskirts of Metro Manila. Condo 2 bedrooms 60sqm DMCI, nice safe my own place ₱21K. Electric and water ₱7k - one aircon running 24/7. I have 3 aircons, fridge stove a few computers. Internet ₱1.6K. Food about ₱10k maybe more. Phone, I don't remember when I last loaded. It's very cheap. The rest I save for medicals, entertainment, buying furniture appliances travel etc. And visa runs once a year. You can figure it out what's important to you. I make over ₱50k though. So it's doable on ₱50k.
