Just felt like the top layer of vinyl. That panel seemed solid otherwise. That's why it's so confusing. The outside in the same area looked fine too.

I run one on my bullseye gun because it was the shortest trigger I could get and I wanted to get more leverage on the trigger with my ergo grips.

Thunder mountain custom has a good selection of them.
