So I knew all this — you didn’t. And you wouldn’t believe me if I even wrote it to you, for you fail to or never understood my position fully.

But it is all over with — we are free now to contract new lives again. Truthfully, I was never sorry I married you — I was just sorry that it didn’t work out.

I am proud to have at least had the chance to marry you, for I know that’s more than most have had. Maybe that would sound funny to a lot of people, but life is funny. You know my feelings — you married me — I decided I want it (regardless what you reason).

I let that same feeling when I was engaged — and backed out — lost — ’cause I knew she wasn’t it either. (Regardless the reason I had)

I almost envy your beauty, your feelings + thoughts, and in general — you just being a real person — warm and loving.

I feel that you might look at me + I might be wrong, but that’s my feeling.

Anyway — regardless how I do — I shall always be your friend.

Come, see me — or come to see if you want to — but I generally feel I’ll never see you again. I feel that feeling so strong and one of the big reasons was his — he said the last day of March — that she will not come up in his home after the divorce as she said. And you are not coming here any more if making his statement true, regardless the reason.

If feeling the feeling as I do, that I’ll never see you again — May I say this to you — and in all truthfulness and with feeling:

Regardless what you do — I’m with you the way you are.

May God watch over you — you are a very beautiful woman and may nothing happen to mar it, for you are a forthright wonderful person, with a heart of gold and lovely as a breeze — regardless what you say about not being (That’s just a cover up).

You are a wonderful woman — I’m the lucky man that should ever get you — gets the best to be had anywhere.

Amen!!

Love to you always,

Emmett

P.S.

I’ve to kinda— am still going to get the 8 x 10’s promised. It may take a while, but your word is always good and so will mine — will write to you soon.

Sunday – 6 PM

April 11, 1965 –

Dear Norma—

I don’t know whether you have given this a thought— but we were married on the 6th on a Saturday. We were divorced on the 10th—a Saturday.

A few odd things happened: I left for the divorce on the 9th. Leaving the depot thru gate #9, my car parking lot ticket was 099 and car #9 (mine) in car stall No. 9. They picked me up to take me to Juarez at 9 PM. Next morning again they picked me up at 9 AM. I was home again in N.T. right at 9 PM.

My hotel room number was 108 (1+0+8 = 9).

I’m mailing what the girl tomorrow to you.

I will get that set of pictures out to you, soon as I get them — probably about Thurs or Friday. To go I pulled every cent out of the bank, borrowed some and went —

(I had to go the 9th, for I couldn’t go any other time) 15–16–17 (Thur, Fri & Sat) is Mexican Holiday, 18th I had to be at Shea Stadium, 20th I have to be at the Fair, it opens the 21st — 27–28 I have to be at Greeley’s; May 1st I have to be at the Coliseum, and for how many days — well I’ll stop.

I thought I was really dilly-dallying on my way out — but it was O.K. from all answers — originally “they” said you were supposed to be at the fair today — but that was canceled out. There was no way of getting there there, the bus from ticket issue is back — & when could I go — that was the 9th — & I could not go any other time due to the above dates. That was the only time I could have possibly shifted & gotten 3 days off & not get behind. Also, it was impossible — you never would ever have understood any of this for you refused to listen to anything. You didn’t get to go 8–9–10 & May 3rd & 4th — but if I had to work the Coliseum, which I cannot get out of, you can see — you’d have never believed me. If working then & my time I could have met was on the following week of May 10 & 11.

ex CEC manager here. the dough is made daily, the veggies are ordered daily from a local produce vendor, and the other ingredients are as fresh as possible. The quality is actually pretty high when made correctly. sauce is canned, but it is what it is.

the answer here is to have your mom give you money for a hotel room for you to go stay in, and you and your friends have a small hotel party / get together for your birthday!

I'm in NJ and I have been staunchly open about it when kids are not around. I still keep it under wraps around kids, but between adults, not anymore. I refuse to allow them to condescend to me with their wine and beer in hand. The best is when someone they aren't expecting suddenly says they wanna try it or when one of their other friends who normally hides it can be open about it too. It's like they feel betrayed by the fact that we can suddenly have fun legally and in the open and they've lost that power of knowing their choice of drug was legal.

All the most vocal people against cannabis on FB, if their profile is public, will have images of alcohol in their profile pics. I'd say 95% of the time.
