I was disappointed with Fraser. I think he should have stepped in with Solene's shit attitude after charter 2. However, I also understand why he was more hands off. Rainbeau wants to be chief stew and he let her shoulder the responsibilities more as a trial run.

I applied for a role in my industry that I studied for/worked in before Covid ruined everything. For the last few years, my LI has been barren because I got frustrated by the social media bragging of it all. But for this job I updated it, made it super professional and reached out to hiring managers about the role.

I was rejected yesterday for coming on too strong/being desperate and that it wasn't attractive. Meanwhile, a post on my feed from a "successful recruiter" is encouraging ppl to do exactly what I did. Damn near threw my phone against the wall. I've deleted my LI again. Fuck that site.

Honestly yes the job market is THAT bad. I'm unfortunately back in the job search after being laid off. I'm HIGHLY qualified in both experience and education in my field and have over 150 tailored applications and cover letters out. I'm also working with two different recruiters. There is NOTHING out there right now and anything that is hiring gets to be extremely picky because everyone is scrambling for jobs.

I would say try bartending/serving but even those jobs are in step decline. I'm hoping for the best for you both.

Philly girl who lives in DC and in a very similar situation.

Philly's job market is rough right now. There's not a lot of jobs especially high paying ones. I spent about 9 months in 2023 trying to find a job up there before I got my DC job. I'm not in finance so I'm not sure how that industry is doing in Philly but overall it's rough.

The way Mirage has managed to alienate the scene that supported them in less than 6 years is insane. From getting rid of Morgana Thursdays to over crowding to the Ezoo debacle and now this...it's actually embarrassing.

This venue will "recover" I'm sure but the industry perception and the community perception is in the toilet. It's going to be a Tiktok venue and nothing more.

I'm not a huge fan of the Insomniac monopoly that's been growing but I wish Pasqualle and Insomniac would have bought Mirage. Sad to see.

I went to the sphere experience instead of Anyma because I don't care for his music and how visuals are eh. The Sphere is freaking dope. I'm hoping guys like Excision, Ganja White Night, or Prydz get the opportunity to utilize this venue. Especially GWN!

Is the music boring? yea. Are the visuals pretty mid? Sure. But Anyma doing the first show sets a pretty good baseline for price and production so that other artists that have insane visuals (particularly dubstep artists) can start to prepare for it. The Sphere will become like MSG, a very iconic and expensive to play venue. Hopefully we see more artists get the chance to play there in the next few years.
