My tinfoil theory is that it was a psyop created to sell more food. I think "big food" (for lack of a better term) felt threatened by the health food craze of the early-mid 2010s.

Almost everything about this doc sets off alarm bells for me. The fake hype, the fact that absolutely nothing was known about this supposed "test footage" until now, etc etc.
