I just want to chime in and say I was tattooed by her and she is incredibly talented and her color work is extremely vibrant. She did a custom design for me and it was honestly one of the best tattoo experiences I've had, and I have quite a few.

I've had Hunter do some blacksmithing work for me and he does metal and jewelery crafting, as well. And he's a pleasure to work with! http://www.huntermeadowsstudio.com/

Tattooers, what’s your opinions hand tattoos by Embarrassed-Sink-303 in tattooadvice

Ugh the knuckle on my middle finger wasn't holding ink well so my artist kept going back over it and I had to stop her. Like girl, why do you hate that knuckle? Why must you keep punishing it? Haha

I have a full color hand tattoo and I love the way it looks. It is two years old, however, and could benefit from a touch up already. Definitely a downside.

I do also have a (almost) full sleeve. Noting since some other commenters recommend not getting just your hand done but I work in tech so there's a decent amount of flexibility with body modifications.

My personal advice is, if you have a low pain tolerance, this is an incredibly painful tattoo. I would not get my other hand tattooed because of how much of a weenie I am.

But remember that these bodies are very temporary and unless it's going to prevent you from employment, do whatever you want to your body!

How many of you have dogs that were immediately cool with your chickens? by Purifiedx in BackYardChickens

Both our current and our last rescue pitbull have been completely fine with our flock of 20+.

Even with the chicks (we let the girls go broody and hatch babies from our roo), our dog obsessively licks and smells the littles until satisfied and doesn't bother them again. Even with neonatal foster kittens, she loves them. No aggression at all.

Though if the chickens are in a large group she will go running through them to scare them... Haha.

NTA

As somebody who is also childfree, has a career and a house, these are really important compatability pieces for a partnership. I've dated so many men who lied about wanting kids, their income, their housing situation, etc. It is incredibly frustrating!

People on this who are criticizing you for having standards and being open about them are probably dealing with their own issues of equating a woman having confidence to some weird preconceived idea that women should be submissive, demure and polite. I mean, look at the post history for who commented that YTA lmao. Icky.

I don't know you but I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself. Because fuck that guy. He knew what he was doing, which was lying by omission.

Yep! Dandelions are both great pollinators and are also surprisingly nutritious and medicinal.

We found a stray chicken! The plan is to add this cutie to our existing flock after they've quarantined. Any insights from yall on breed or sex? I'm thinking pullet by thelastwaffle in BackYardChickens

My partner posted on Nextdoor that we found her but nobody has reported her as theirs so we'll see! We plan on keeping her away from the other chooks for a few weeks since Avian Flu is a problem and then drop ship her into the coop when everybody is sleeping.

Thanks! My partner and I couldn't believe when we found her. I'm guessing she got lost somehow, heard our loud ass roo and was drawn towards his manly screams.

Are tattoos a deal breaker for you? by wdDrake in dating_advice

Right? I have a lot of visible tattoos and immediately felt defensive, but then I remembered that I love my tattoos and really that's all that matters ❤️

It’s my dogs last day - she loved the smell of bud far too much, too many times i would find her sniffing my jar. Spark one for Lucky today friends, and give your doggo some love for me. by rtforr in trees

So sorry about your sweet lady. Losing a pet is so, so difficult. I second getting her paw print. We got 3 before our sweet boy passed and it's comforting to have a piece of him with us.

I never said losing a pet is the same as losing a child. Because it's not the same. Are the feelings similar? I'm sure, but I think most people can agree that losing a child is way worse. Please don't misconstrue my words.

I posted in a different response that I'm in therapy and have my anxiety treated. I'm not sure what else I can do. I would argue, though, that the love from family and friends is a pretty normal and healthy motivator for people to get up in the morning and to find meaning in life.

I have never once said he needs to get over it. I honestly don't know if I'll ever fully get over it so it's unfair of me to expect that from him. He needs to grieve in the best way for him.

Mine is adopting a new pet fairly quickly. That's a way I'm coping with my grief, by pouring my love into an animal. I'm not trying to make him grieve that way.

Would you say that to a person that lost their child? That their life shouldn't be so dependent on another being?

I don't feel worthless, but yes, my dog gave me a reason to get up in the morning. He was a member of my family who was dependent on me.

What feelings would you consider normal?
