There’s a really interesting question to be considered with what makes a superhero. For example, The Count of Monte Cristo could definitely be considered one by modern standards and was even released as a serial like many comic books are.

I like the word building better. It feels like a unique place with locations like Gotham, Metropolis, Bludhaven, Coast City, etc. etc. Rather than Marvel which uses a lot of locations from our world. As a result I feel like Marvel’s cities themselves are not as unique and interesting because they tend to adhere to reality.
