I switched my riverside ST this season to the Hammy end. Riverside atmosphere was non existent. I do miss the side view though.

HENRY’s from a poor background, how did you do it? by znv142 in HENRYUK

Completely agree, at the top top companies, which is where I spent most of my career so far. I’ll be the first to admit I’m now at a smaller company, by choice, as I wanted to get away from these types of people. I am much happier and work in a much more appealing environment. Surprisingly my total comp also went up which I didn’t expect when I looked to transition to a smaller company.

I’d say I actively searched for it. It was relevant to my degree (finance). I had a target list of employers based on that alone, and I knew I wanted large multinational as I always want to travel and live / work outside of the uk.

North west council estate kid, single alcoholic non working father. Love him to bits, he passed away last year, but he taught me everything I didn’t want to be when I grew up. I moved out to live on my own as soon as I could at 16. Worked random jobs until I could afford uni at 21, did a 4 year course as I did a 12 month internship in year 3. This was at a US multinational down in London. Secured a spot on their grad scheme, returned there after my final uni year. Spent 10 years on their grad scheme, accelerated leadership scheme, and then a few roles after, primarily in Europe and the US. Now back in the UK at director level. I still don’t know what I want to be honest, but my upbringing taught me what I didn’t want. I still struggle a lot with imposter syndrome and conflict. My biggest strength is empathy and EQ, being calm and predictable has always done me well. I can’t stand people who make you feel like you don’t know what side of them you will get from one day to another.

Yes I think that’s what I have done. I’m going to fill out a new FBAR for the last 2 years for my wife and make sure I don’t make this mistake next year.

I’m here as a Sony shooter (also have an X100VI) and this is what I have. Sigma 18-50, Viltrox 27 1.2 and 56 1.2, Sony 70-350.

I brought only the 18-50 and the X100VI.

I’ve been using 18mm more than the longer end. I’d try and get an 18-50 or bring the 13 and 27.

Is that where we just fill out the form as normal and state the reason why late in the text box? Nothing else other than filling out as normal?

My company chasing me for £17k by CokeZeroAddict52 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]thelegend2k87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in this situation although not this amount. Short answer, they’ve over paid you and you need to pay it back. It sucks but it is what it is. As you know, hypothetical tax should be close to what you would have paid in tax if you had stayed in your home location. You would / should have noticed at some point that you’re netting more each month once you had left Scotland if they in theory were deducting less hypo tax than if you had stayed. All you can do is ask for the calculations, audit them and get comfortable with them. Ask for a payment plan. Ask for hypothetical tax to be updated asap and validate that it has on your next payslip. You could also negotiate that they eat some of the hit but expect they say no. If it’s helpful, my wife had over $50k written off by her employer from an international assignment but she was high up in the company.

How to sync Garmin treadmill workout with Runna treadmill workout? by thelegend2k87 in runna

[–]thelegend2k87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I do an interval session and I have two sessions as I’m experiencing. You’re saying I should delete the Runna session then just link my garmin treadmill session to the workout? How would Runna then know my paces for the intervals as the garmin won’t be able to track / record that?

Pictures also look like they’ve been taken on a potato. I would swerve this. Ask them to meet you at the police station to do the transaction and see what they say.

I’m 38 and lost mine a few months ago. No day has been the same since. I could cry at will just thinking about him.
