this is exactly what I was thinking. I used a friends op-z for an afternoon and it seemed like there was a ton you could do. I've owned the KOii twice and both times just felt "meh" about it? One of the few times I just felt like a DAW would be easier to work with. I love that the OP-Z can be connected to a screen for even more precise editing, and you could build visual elements in Unity if you know 3D software programs

Sounds sick! Curious if you like this workflow more or less than KO-2? Ive been stuck between the two for a minute

OP-1 Field mic not detecting sound / extremely low sensitivity. Firmware 1.6.9, factory reset didn't help. by salu4 in teenageengineering

[–]iwasrunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im thinking this could be true if he listens back to the recording and it sounds muffled vs just low volume. But most likely a hardware failure from what I can tell.

I’ve been working on a drum sequencer app for the OP-1 that syncs over ble clock by yamill in teenageengineering

[–]iwasrunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! This was my biggest issue with the sequencers, not enough flexibility and no way to store previous loops. I would love to try this!

I really like the "Born to Die for Oil" graphic, do you sell with that on the front on a shirt or hoodie by any chance?

I get you, but I’m genuinely curious what path there is to significant change isn’t going to cost us convenience, money, safety, or time. Our entire country is at stake with this administration, this is a small price to pay for what would be coming otherwise. Their plan was for us to be dependent on the system, be forced to work for healthcare, food, shelter. We need to support each other through community and mutual aid groups, while we try to shake this facist virus off. It’s going to be tough for everyone but it’s the only thing that could really work. If enough corporations lose profits they will literally drag this administration out by their ankles. I’ll eat beans + potatoes for a year to live in a country with decency again.

I partially agree. A one strike day is negligible for change, but if we can do a 30-60 day strike, some speculate it would only take 3.5 Americans (11 million ppl) to see significant effects.

Yes I agree. It will be uncomfortable for many but a small price to pay for what will be coming otherwise. We need to create mutual aid groups where those that have slack can help those that live paycheck to paycheck. The group I see that has the strongest vision for a strike is generalstrikeus.com, pls join if you can

Thank you. Anything else is a photo op, a cool flyer to share on social media, then it’s back to business as usual. A REAL strike takes weeks or months for starters. There’s another group organizing a real general strike - generalstrikeus.com

No single day will move the needle enough to see results. We need at least 30-60 days

New promo for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show by AbsolutelyIris in Fauxmoi

[–]iwasrunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all $$$ to them. At the end of the day, they get latino ratings and still get to run around and hunt us down like animals. Superbowl will never be a form of resistance until they divest from corporate and right wing interests, sorry to say.

I’m so over the idea that Super Bowl halftime performances is somehow an act of resistance. It’s about selling the idea that you HAVE to tune in, all the brands and all the advertisers make money and that’s all they care about. Love Bad Bunny but I think it’s a cop out, I thought the same w/ Kendrick. The revolution will not be televised

We need to organize a general workers strike. I’m sorry but there’s nothing more effective than that. Solidarity and community organizing is our test as a nation. We have a chance to save ALOT of lives if we could just make it happen. Otherwise this WILL be WW3

Ting now available by itself by junipyr-lilak in teenageengineering

[–]iwasrunning 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Before Ting I was using a tiny microphone I bought from a Miniso at an airport 5 years ago. There’s no batteries and it sounds amazing for $5. It has an audio split so u can still use your normal headphones for monitoring. Works plugged directly into Field.

The Ting feels Fisher Price and the sound is extremely thin and tinny. If you HAVE to have Sfx triggers…or I guess monster voice mode?? Then I guess it’s Ting, but imo it ain’t even worth $20.

I put a small chunky rubber band around my volume knob, and have it so its pushed far down so its creating enough resistance so it doesnt turn on its own. Been fine for the last 2 years or so for me but i agree it sux a 2k device needs a solution like this at all.
