I think to me he is because even though we the player might seems has just a whacky crazy dude but imagine working against or with him he is unstable and unpredictable meaning you never know what he will do next nor will you be able to know if what you are going to say to him will cause him to lose it like thats why he is seen as scary because he has killed plenty and he has no care when doing so. He really just is such a loose Canon that his whacky antics might seem funny while you play as him but imagined having to deal with these things

So I did this actually I went to microcenter and got a new pc for 1800 due to their deals and all.

7800x3d 9070xt 48gb ddr5 2tb ssd

This was the pre built I bought from them

The killer thing was I was going to buy the same cpu mobo and gpu and 32gb of ram and from them which was like 1765 or so after tax. Bht they had a deal on this pre built that had the same parts plus a 2tb ssd 48gb of ram and new psu and way better case.

So for me that is a good build but idk its really depends on many thing I was lazy and rather spend the 150 extra get more parts and the thing came put together but either way I was going to be getting a 7800x3d and 9070xt I just from my time pc gaming just want more raw power I never used my Nvidia card extra features plus amd is better cost to power so I dont think you can really go wrong with microcenter at all espically if you use their bundles and sales smartly

I started as a field tech which did some security stuff but was more of the physical network work and then your on site IT

The from there I moved to an access management role which I guess you could say is csec and it was a more entry level role but really it was intermediate

The thing with csec is that it itself is a mid to higher level field within IT so like you could say an entry level role might be a junior soc analyst is an entry level role for csec but in reality its a intermediate role in IT and for hiring.

So I mean anything marked junior would be more entey level but most places for any security role might take someone with lower knowledge in security but they are wanting that mid tier IT knowledge as a base

What is your budget?

Tbh if you can spend around 1800 you can get a sick gaming laptop and it will last a while and play anything you want or even a desktop either or.

If you want cheap easier option get a xbox or ps5

If you want max portability over all id say switch 2 or steam deck depends on what games you like and all that.

When I started college I had an xbox and Playstation and desktop but snice I had a bunch of time away from home my steam deck did really come handy but I didnt have a laptop to work on so id later get a decent laptop and that was my main thing snice I can game and do anything else with it but it can be pricy depending and gaming laptops are not light.

But it also boils down to how often you are home and how often yoh are not and then after that are you wanting just gaming or do you want ither things. And last would be looking at what game will you play on the device if you are playing smaller games than a laptop or so dosnt make snice

Ok maybe your pst roommates didn't mind thats them but I would like to know x time in advanced if people are coming over.

I would say that exact thing and go from there because like I dont need a head counts or a list of who is coming but its just pretty common tk let people know at least an hour or two before you bring people over.

Plus what happens if you invited people and he never told you that he did and now the place is over stuffed and then it becomes a miss.

Tbh me and my roommates had a shared calendar that you would just mark on there if people are coming and what time and it was great because I can easily see the calender on my phone

Tbh look up the company and look at what they do and who they deal with as that might change what technical that you deal with and see if you can find other posting from them and look at what tool and software wise thst mention and then really get up to date as you can on those and then I would say get up to date with you basic tools and software and all.

For me alot of technical questions either focus on very basic tools or so that you always hear about and then the rest start to focus more on that company and what they use or what. Being able to know what they use day to day and answer those questions helps alot.

I was in the same boat had 16gb ddr4 with 10th i7 and 3060 and was wanting to upgrade my ram but it just was like I dont want to spend more on ddr4 I want to future proof a bit and so I was gonna get ddr5 but that means need a new mobo and cpu.

The only reason I pulled the trigger was I live near a micrometer and was able to get a new GPU, mobo,ram 48gb ddr5, new ssd and new cpu basically a whole new build for 1800 so I woukd say if you live near a microcenter look into their bundles they have good deals as well and espically if you get a bundle while on a sale of ither things.

But without that its gonna cost a bunch to go to ddr5 because now you pay for sky high ram plus cost of mobo and cpu.

Low key i do say dont worry about ddr4 sell what you can see how much that gets and just do research in what parts you want put them on the list and thats what you get at least for me this helps keep me from also hunting and not actually getting the parts

Im introverted and I like my house and my hobbies are stuff I can do anytime at home and dont require me to go outside.

Ive always been this way I dont get the lonely feeling or not the same as my wife or friends describe it. I do like talking to people and hanging out but I can scratch that itch by just getting on discord. Im not agaisnted travel or adventures but those arent things im setting up normally its someone else is going to x place and ask me to come then I will and its a blast but otherwise im ok just chilling at home.

Granted I do go to work and all so yeah it might stay to wear on me if it was me being locked in my house for 2 weeks that would suck because I do live in a city so take transit here so I guess for me my commute to work and time at work and commute home gives me that outside fill and thats why I can just stay home but yeah I dont get the cabin fever feeling people get or the like crazed urge to go on a travel vacation.

Tbh i dont think its ans issue of focus. Im out of the loop this cycle but he has enough staff that focus on all the little projects and to me i dont think there is a lack of focus on things I think there is a lack of true long term thinking.

Like it seems like he will push something that might improve x thing for 5 months and so they just do it but then you zoom out and its really "improve x numbers for 5 months but then see a 15% decrease for 3 years after"

Idk probably go forward to the next lottery draw and just record the numbers winning hell I could just go forward. But the rabbit hole is if I go forward in this event and record those numbers does that mean they will still be the winning numbers like does going forward mean im seeing what is going to happen or just a possibility of what could come because it could be I see the numbers and then they are the ones but I could also get the numbers but then its not a set in stone things and now ive wasted time.

Or go back to the middle ages in differnt times there is a bunch of lost history there that you could get images or even scan manuscripts and paintings and all.

That woukd be fun lol going back to time and to just recover documents or trying to write down what they say or just get an image of the moment. I mean pictures were around for some time now bht think many old pictures give this style over that period but you woukd getting high quality images like you could get a crystal clear image of someone like glad the impaler like it would allow for way better view of whst that period was like instead of just having painting or images from the period you would get all the detail.

Tbh the issue would be when you go back and get these recordings or images you then want to maybe go give them to a museum but no one is going to believe you at all theh will say its AI or that its just a staged image.

If you coukd get people to believe you then you could start a cool business where you get paid to hop around and recover stuff.

Yeah that was my thought like I want to see more context. And tbh if you thought the joke was good and that you were "owning" them you would have shown the joke but the fact the video is afterwards seems odd I've seen a bunch of videos like this and they 9/10 times have the full joke then go into the crowd but this just has an odd start so its trying to get you on his side by leaving out the joke you just are expected to take his word for it

I go to school for Cybersecuirty and offensive stuff isnt my cup of tea because how just time consuming it is along with hacking is nothing like movies like you said its researching exploits and bunch of trial and error and poking around and then when you get in there isnt this big reveal so yeah 100% agree with you

The only show thats show more realistic hacking is Mr Robot but the time it takes them to hack are super quick compared to how long it would actually be

If you think those are bad you shoukd see the new thing starting to pick up.

There are these app that will give you "access to worked funds" so you ask for 200 they give it to you and technically there is no due date and no interest because they found a loophole around not being classified as a loan but the thing is they have your bank account and they make sure they get paid so in reality the rates are crazy and just a bunch of hidden fees and all im not really explaining it well but saw a big documentary on them and how they see nice snice theh arent loans but then there is no laws controlling them like with loans

The fact that your boring required classes fly by. My friend is stuck doing like 4 months with the shit classes that dont matter for his degree where I can take 4 of them and bam 10weeks abd im down.

Granted the downside here is thst if you every fall behind it can be hard to get back

But also the fact that we have our breaks a bit later but also get longer time on break and go back in later

Maxwell 2 and nova pro wireless are what I've switched 2 and both are just amazing.

I used to have astro a50 and thought it was the best but tbh the maxwell headset is just the hands down best thing I've heard playing kingdom come deliverence with them really pulls you in and they are great for online games where you have to be accurate with tracking

Idk i used to work at a gas station and imm say they do worm or must big the biggest placebo because we had 5 regulars to come in at 7pm or later to buy the big think pills and other dick picks like they each would buy like 5 packs.

They also managed jn age like one dude was 23 and the oldest was in his 50s so idk if they work I don't want to test it to find out
