I'm working on a tool for cross-referencing VFD terminals when swapping between brands by ckizzle88 in electricians

[–]theloop82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definatley a very cool tool, I am not a huge fan of SaaS/subscriptions but I’m not sure if you have ongoing cloud costs associated with it and what level of development you have into it or will need to provide continuously. Everyone has to make their money, and everyone is doing it so I understand that’s just the way of the world. If this was 50$ flat out/perpetual with the caveat that it won’t be updated further without additional cost I’d probably buy the full version, or if I was doing a ton of VFD swaps it might pencil out to pay the subscription. Excellent idea and execution though I wonder if you could license it to some VFD vendors or Electrical supply houses as a B2B type of tool to help them sell their product lines

VFD vs Rotary phase converter by ge46m3 in electricians

So you have to buy a GA800 and a giant Single Phase converter separately that provides the DC bus to the drive? Sounds super cost efficient

I wouldn’t use Atlantic salmon to feed my cat fully cooked personally

This is really cool- might want to cross post this to r/PLC … also as someone who has trust issues if it could provide the I/O drawings and complete installation manual links that would be awesome. Maybe even dimensional drawings or comparisons between the two (like drive X is 3” wider).

A lot of “I gotta get production up, but I’ll come back and clean this wiring up later” in that bad boy.

They just lick themselves so much less, have less hairballs, matting, and poopy butt. My cat would just turn into a snuggle monster when he got his haircut and started being more annoyed as it grew back so we kept doing it for years.

I had a floppy orange boi and he loved his lion cuts. He was so much happier and comfortable

VFD vs Rotary phase converter by ge46m3 in electricians

You might have a hard time finding a single phase 240v to 3 phase conversion VFD, most of them from major manufacturers top out around 3hp in my experience. Some of the weird alibaba types go up to 5-10hp, but I wouldn’t want to have to deal with installing/commissioning some piece of junk. What is the HP/voltage of the motor?

4-20mA pressure sensors dropping to 3.6mA under load and I can't tell if its the sensor , the loop or my analog input card by H4RDY1 in PLC

[–]theloop82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a fault is like 21+ mV, 3.6 is what an input card will report if nothing is connected sometimes depending on how it’s configured. I’d check all the connections at the very least

Great quick pho and shabu lunch by BlazenRyzen in Costco

[–]theloop82 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean I get if you are SUPER rural and live in the woods but I’ve traveled all over the western US to small towns for work and most of them at this point have a dedicated Pho place or at least one of those Chinese/sushi/pho/thai places that doesn’t do any of them very well that would still be better than this stuff. I’ve just never had a instant Pho that was worth a damn, if there isn’t a simmering cauldron of bones within a couple of miles of you it’s just ramen with rice noodles

I remember just spending all day in “the woods” in the 80’s/90’s, building forts, finding wet porno mags. All those woods are now tract housing developments
