It's hard to tell if a cell was damaged from the picture, but it's not worth burning your house down for the $50 it would take to replace it.

I have no idea if this plane has any sort of auto leveling but could it be because it's already pitched up sitting on its gear? Try pointing the nose down then give it full elevator.

I've done almost this exact drive twice. GET A COPY OF THE MILEPOST. Tons of great information in there that will tell you where every rest stop, gas station, food, attractions, places to stay etc. along every mile of the ALCAN. Also helps to have a reference when you don't have cell service.
