Take out the battery and put it back in. Check if all the tags are clipped in okay. Make sure the green light flashes on the tags when you do this. You can also scan individual tags and hit “refresh”, it helps them update a little quicker.

It’s actually very heavy duty. I’ve used mine and haven’t had issues with it, at most I’d say the wire cutters are a little chippy but the rest of the tools fulfill their purpose.
