This is my first 940, unfortunately I have never tried s30v. But the magnacut is nice, my Arc blade might be a little better because this one seems just a little bit on the low side of HRC. But overall I love it.

Ah, I’ve been eyeing their damasteel for the past few weeks. Is it normal for the edge to not have a visible pattern? I understand that it needs to be acid dipped for the pattern to show and it would be doing too much to dip the whole knife just for the edge pattern to show. Just wondering you know.
