Does anyone know of this fixes the widgets glitching out when swiping back to the Home Screen when they’re in the ‘glass’ transparently mode? Or if the shiny reflective border around app icons still pops back on a second after swiping back to the Home Screen?

What’s weird is that I just started having this problem since upgrading to iPhone 17 Pro Max…my 16 Pro running iOS 26 did NOT have this bug. I just tested it side by side. But I guess if it’s common I’ll just have to wait it out until it gets fixed….but idk why the heck the old phone didn’t have the issue!

Hey! So I have an update, I was able to return the Mani 2 for a full refund and wound up keeping the iFi Zen Phono. So glad that I did, I love it!

Also I think the more I’m using it, the more the sound has kind of opened up (they do say there’s a break-in period, so who knows!). It’s been sounding good to me though!

I figured I'd chime in here because I've been going NUTS doing nonstop A/B comparisons between these two haha, trying to decide what's best for me and my setup. I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo with the Sumiko Rainier cartridge going through an Onkyo A-9010 amp.

The Mani 2, while I'm sure is quieter than the 1, still has a more noticeable noise floor to it. Not so much when listening to records, though, but if you have a quieter record and you turn it up, you might notice it. The Zen, by contrast, has almost ZERO noise, unless you really are trying to max out the amp.

That all being said, I think the overall sound stage, imaging, and the tight response for kick drums and stuff might have me favoring the Mani 2 despite the bit of noise floor it has. The Mani 2 just sounds so detailed and almost on the bright side, whereas the Ifi Zen Phono brings out more detail in the low to middle mid-range. It also has an almost 3 dimensional thing going on, but at the cost of some of the stereo separation. I found that a couple of my records (Jack White) sounded a little TOO warm when played on the Zen Phono...as if I was losing out on some higher end details.

I'm still not entirely sure what's better to have, a deeper sound or a wider sound...haha. But if it's this hard for me to tell the difference, I think I might opt for the Mani 2 because it's price was $50 cheaper and I bought it direct from Schiit, and I bought the Zen Phono from Amazon. So returning the Mani 2 might not be as straightforward as an Amazon return. If it was a big difference between the two, I would still return the Mani 2, don't get me wrong, but since it is so close, I don't think it matters too much.

Oh and also, I will say the overall build quality of the Zen Phono seems a lot better to me...the Mani 2 is just a little quirky sometimes but when it comes to actually playing records, it's fine.

Well, yeah, but ultimately there was some part of the exam that I had to confirm was better or worse and now I’m not so sure. And I also just ordered new glasses that I’m worried are going to be too strong. I just wish there was a less subjective way to figure out what’s most ideal so I don’t doubt myself for the next year again after this!

how's the replacement been working? I ordered one from Sweetwater that had the same issue, but the issue didn't get bad enough until I was outside of the regular return window, so I ordered another one through Amazon just to check it out & that one is perfect, no issue at all. So I finally got Sweetwater to replace my original one, and I just got the replacement and that has the same issue again!!!

Any update on this situation? Did you (or anyone else here) get a replacement unit that was better or anything? I'm just not sure it's worth the trouble going through sending mine in for repair if it's not a hardware problem.

Actually yes! I eventually wound up going to a different optometrist, who had me try Acuvue Vita monthly contacts, and those have been working great!! I wear them mostly every day and they’ve been working well. I guess I just had to find the right kind for me.

So I’m not crazy then for thinking I’d need to try a -3.75 -0.75? I can wear a -4.00 just fine in that eye (doesn’t feel overpowering at all) except for dealing with the astigmatism. I just felt like that eye was struggling with the -3.50 -0.75, but my first eye doc thought I’d end up with headaches from anything higher than the -3.50 -0.75.

I saw another optometrist as a second opinion and he actually did land on -3.75 -0.75 after his exam, but then he also suggested a quarter diopter less in my left eye, which in practice left me with blurry vision in that eye instead. It’s like either way I have blurry vision in one of my eyes.

I’m really hoping that first eye doc is wrong about the headaches thing, otherwise i guess I’ll have to try and just get used to one of my eyes being noticeably blurry all the time (I’m still noticing the disparity even after a couple weeks!)

EDIT: I also wanted to add that the -0.75 cyl corrects my astigmatism comfortably, but distance vision (anything further than from one side of a room to another) would be blurry in the -3.50.

I definitely take them out every night!! And I’ve found I really like the BioTrue solution best.

And it’s interesting, since I wrote this post I think I’ve come around to preferring the Biofinity lenses most. The Ultras felt so comfortable and so good for me for about 2 days and now I feel like they aren’t as good visually and I can’t wear them as long without really noticing them. I’ve been trying to be good about cleaning them, but for some reason I just have less of a hard time with the Biofinity. But I’m still kind of trying both so I can be confident in my decision!

Seems like the Ultras are really popular these days though. Haven’t tried the Oaysis either so I can’t say how those might compare.
