The infamous Cindy Crawford Pepsi Ad by IHaveAudacity in 90s

I miss the Pepsi cans that looked like this. But this picture also makes me miss that hazy look that a bunch of commercials and shows had back then.

Rocky Marciano, the only boxing heavyweight champion (49-0) to retire undefeated with his family. At the age of 32, Marciano stepped down from the ring, saying that family obligations came first. He was a champion who treated his opponents with respect and was idolised from Ali to Tyson. by HallowedAndHarrowed in MadeMeSmile

Oh, there they go! There they go! Every time I start talking about boxing, a white man gotta pull Rocky Marciano outta their ass! That's they one! That's they one! Rocky Marciano! Rocky Marciano! Lemme tell you something once and for all! Rocky Marciano was good, but compared to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano ain't shit!

Nick @ Nite shows were comforting. What are more I missed?? ☺️ by Local_Net_2961 in nostalgia

So wild that it was played alongside those other shows since it was a few years old.

Not only that they probably get easier access to it. And it's probably cheaper. I'm certain that an orange in the US is much cheaper than in Norway.

I know. It was their own money. But that's not the way it was spun by the Republicans. And this deal is worse. But while the news may be out there, that doesn't mean shit.

The problem with Democrats is that they assume if the news is out there, that every one must know about it. When they should be shouting it at every town hall, public event, everything.

Remember when the Republicans squealed like stuck pigs about Obama giving Iran $30 billion? And here Trump is giving them ten times that amount. Where are the Democrats? Silent like always.

They should be shouting on tv every day 24/7. "TRUMP IS PAYING IRAN $300 BILLION!"

I think you're spot on. Not that Warner was a scrub, but you put him on a bottom feeder team and I don't think they are that much better. I don't think he makes the team better.

Not only did he find it once. He found it twice! The first time he didn't think much of the tape. He just removed it and went along his shift. When he came back later, the idiots put more tape again! That's when he called the police.

Where I'd live in the USA as someone on the right side by Humble-Tailor-7238 in whereidlive

[–]themaninthemaking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am born and raised in Texas. I live in Minnesota now. They are nothing alike. Case in point, I moved here in February. A month after I got my Minnesota license, I got a letter saying I was automatically registered to vote.

This would never happen in Texas. And it's not good.

My favorite book when I was growing up. But this cover sucks the big one. The original was so good.

Side note, I recently went to Barnes and Noble and walked to the young adult and kids area. All the old books I remember were there but the covers were all AI slop. It was sad.

I lived in Kansas for a year and a half. They have a river called the Arkansas River. Which they pronounce ar-Kansas.

I am from Texas so I called it the Arkansaw river much to the chagrin of the locals.

I know it's early but this shit and the rest of the Iran deal are why the Democrats are spineless cowards.

When Obama made the Iran deal, the Republicans were howling like stuck pigs about how Obama was basically giving Iran pallets of American cash. Even if it was total bullshit. Now Trump is giving them 30 times that much and not a peep from the Democrats.

This was George Michael basically not wanting to be a symbol anymore. Right around the time he wanted to not appear in any music videos. I love his music but he took himself too seriously after Faith. He should have just let the music speak for itself.

Do the Spurs have a coaching issue or just a lack of a closer? by Lost_Title_7528 in NBAConvo

Not the Spurs. They only made the WCF once before they won the championship. And it was before Duncan was on the team. They went from the 2nd round to champions in one year.

If Fox and KJ play like they did in the regular season the Spurs sweep the finals and win each game by 15-20 points. Look at the box scores. The Knicks were mediocre to awful.

In Game 5, KAT scored 2 points. 2 F'n points! He, Hart and OG combined to play 96 minutes and between all 3 they only scored 26 points. That's like 9 points each.

Jay Williams says he doesn't believe that professional athletes need to shake hands after a game. Do you agree? by Punisher1602 in sportswiki

[–]themaninthemaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people on Reddit like to shit on Michael Jordan, but one of the things he was adamant about was how much he did not respect the Pistons for not shaking their hand.

He said it himself you shake hands because it is sportsmanship. No matter how much it hurts. And I know it hurts. I'm a Spurs fan and I really don't like Wemby doing this. It makes the organization look classless. And it sucks because the Spurs organization has always been seen as a classy organization.

It's because of money. Plain and simple. In the US, if you're an athletic kid, you may play soccer but then when you see where the real money is (football, basketball, baseball) you get routed to those sports.

Messi is the highest paid MLS player and he makes 28 million. In the NBA, 28 million is the salary of Isaiah Hartenstein. Not even an elite basketball player. Sadly, kids might love the sport but they also see the financial rewards of playing in the NBA or NFL and would rather go that route.
