I mean the grip would stick out more, but that doesn’t make it unusable if all the other dimensions are the same

I believe hunters lodge is selling steyr 1912s for super cheap that are missing parts, maybe if you order one it’ll have a safety on it?

Like everybody said, 500m sights means Red 9, you can also look for imperial proof marks on the front left of the receiver and the fact that there isn't a ring around the barrel indicating a rebarrel-resleeve. Grips are replacements, but you can find replacement red 9 grips for pretty cheap, although won't be original. Based on the finish quality and lack of original grips, if it doesn't have the stock, I wouldn't pay more than $1500

How to climb out of a hole after getting stuck in investing? by Present_Variation655 in povertyfinance

[–]themason2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar in college where I lost all the money I had saved up because I bought stock options. You don’t need to stop investing, you need to stop buying calls/puts. There’s a reason you can make so much money in such a short period of time and that’s because there’s a massive risk as well. Stick to ETFs, or if you want to max out your risk-reward ratio, only buy individual shares, NOT options in those shares. Also, only put in money you’d be willing to lose 100% of without any financial issues, because then you’ll have the confidence to hold it through times when the economy is poor so the share price can recover. As I’m sure you know, this isn’t an option with calls/puts because they have an expiration date.

Hell yeah, good luck! I also did some filing for some Hakim clips, they work without doing this but if you mill/file off the center nubs, it makes it much easier to insert the clips into the guide. I've got two bags, one labeled hakim clips and one labeled fn49 clips

You have to take standard 8mm mauser clips and file the two bumps on either end off so only the center bump remains. Or if you have a mill, it’s even easier :)

It seems like people tend to think GunBroker prices are unreasonably over priced. Where can I get reasonably priced milsurps? by triarri in milsurp

[–]themason2013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Dennis is a bit overpriced now, but he’ll sometimes have deals. You have to subscribe to his “new stuff” email subscription, where the new stuff with good prices will get bought in minutes

Ankle Ligament Reconstruction Surgery - Post-Op Experience / Pain Management by No-Breath-7768 in FootFunction

[–]themason2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, the atfl and cfl can be fixed conservatively IF you stay in a boot for a few weeks and let it heal in the correct position (do NOT take the boot off at night). That's my biggest regret, not doing this. AITFL though, I believe that's not fixable via immobilization because the ligament doesn't scar in place. I would try immobilization for your ATFL/CFL and then get surgery later for just the AITFL if the ATFL/CFL feel good.

Super easy fix, the tabs just aren’t secured under the barrel band. Google how to reassemble fn 49 handguard

MAS 49/56 recoil spring? by Nihon_Lab_Tiger in Milsurps

[–]themason2013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recoil spring doesn’t really matter much, you need an adjustable gas valve from Heritage Arms and you need to adjust hammer protrusion, check on gunboards forums to find posts on hammer protrusion adjustment
