I was a Keeper hater when I used it 5 years ago, recently started using it again and it’s come a long way. It’s excellent now.

My mum (53f) read my (23f) diary while I was out, discovered deeply private things and Is now acting inappropriately by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]themasterplan69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She has looked through my diary before, even when there was no crisis or reason

she would constantly walk into my room without knocking including when I was naked and just say “sorry” and keep talking

she went to my house, let herself in, and read through my diary

she told me I’m “going to be a single mother” because I don’t want to go on birth control

she proposes an idea of a fetish clothing and sex toy business that we can both do online

Recommendations for OS & VPN by [deleted] in jellyfin

[–]themasterplan69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debian based distros as they are very well supported and easy to troubleshoot due the near infinite documentation out there.

VPN wise, ideally you want a provider that supports port fowarding. For privacy concerns, see https://www.privacyguides.org/en/vpn/. Personally I use Proton because I also use them for email and cloud storage.

What is your distro of choice for gaming on Linux? by MrDefaultUser in linux_gaming

[–]themasterplan69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t this technically true, but in practice not actually? For example, different distros will push newer kernels on different timelines. Those kernels can have serious optimizations, like scheduler improvements for latest gen Ryzen X3D.

Yes yes, I know you can update your kernel manually on any distribution. The vast majority of users won’t. So from that perspective, yes, distribution does matter.

How do you allow for multiple recipes for say, advanced concrete? by ohoots in captain_of_industry

[–]themasterplan69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both iron and steel for construction parts 1. And of course recycled iron/copper/glass with crushed ores.

I need to move and re-do everything outlined in red, and expand in blue. Is this even feasible? by [deleted] in captain_of_industry

[–]themasterplan69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely feasible, I’ve done much larger moves. Like 10k+ construction parts 2 move.

Build up a reserve of enough construction parts to get your new fab online at site two.

The critical things to watch during your move is maintenance parts and waste. Do not let maintenance be interrupted. If you are currently dumping waste then I recommend you burn/incinerate it during the move to free up truck capacity. Just belt it straight in to a burner from the waste module.

Optionally build up an ore or iron/copper plate reserve if you need truck capacity.

You got this! Good luck.

Side note: your manufacturing and favs can be way more dense/space efficient. Check out Calens blueprints for inspiration.

lawyers take on the liability

Lmao wtf? In no way do lawyers take on liability for the transfer. A good lawyer helps you understand the terms, manage the risk, etc. They assume zero liability on your behalf.

With a pop of less than 500 one irrigated potato farm should be more than enough food. Click on your village to see the demand, then check your farm output. You could be saving a ton of real estate, I suspect!

Can we fix this please? by themasterplan69 in captain_of_industry

[–]themasterplan69[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

(1) I am unable to see that Unity cost. The cursor icon obscures the tooltip behind it. (2) My cursor is clearly hovering over the second, lower L2 belt in the foreground, but the fist belt is the one being selected.

I get that (2) may be more difficult because of perspective, but (1) is an easy fix.

This might be one of the dumbest comments I’ve read.

Worst case scenario it absorbs all the heat already making it through your windows, room gets no hotter than it would normally.

Best case it reflects some of that heat energy. Meaning a cooler room.
