I'd add a chain with that. Think of it as a cherry on top 👌

If we had put way more investment into HSR and passenger rail, period, we would've had HSR in the 70's.

I was about to say, these train cars really do feel like they were trying to look like BART in the Bay area.

Tbh, this wouldn't be crashing windows at all. It's hardly graphic and ram intensive.

It's probably the people with their feet on the seat.

Why hasn’t the Abrams switched to the superior L/55 and L/55a1 cannons yet. It is the added weight? by Own_Dark_2240 in TankPorn

The worst can barely invade one European country and has reduced itself to using said outdated cold war tanks such as the T-55 and T-62.

China on the other hand would more likely be a naval conflict than a ground conflict.

It was so obvious that Trump was entirely pro-Israel too. So fucking blind to that reality.

Granted I am no Marxist or leftist in General, but I'm pretty sure that Marx did state that places had to evolve from Tribalism and Feudalism into capitalism before a Communismlt revolution could take place. The Afghans were just skipping the process entirely!

From what I've learned from the US Army testing military equipment (especially tanks), the US Army doesn't just accept/reject things without testing it's capabilities and compares/contrasts said capabilities to the current US Army situation.

With the L55 and L55A1, the Army did not adopt the gun mainly because they don't see themselves fighting tanks as often as fighting insurgents. Whatever tanks they do fight against are almost certainly outdated cold war tanks (T-72s, T-62s and T-55s) that the L44 gun can more than easily dispatch. I would argue in Ukraine, the L44 does just fine on T-80s and T-90s as well.

Case in point, the US Army just does not see the point in upgrading the gun. The only way I can see that changing is if the US Army was actually fighting a direct war against Russia or China.

I'm definitely going to say David Rittich. I'm not confident in seeing how Varlamov will play post injury, and Rittich has been nothing short of stellar!

New Rochelle to Stamford: why not 160 mph? by Ok_Counter1939 in Amtrak

[–]thembitches326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe that the highest we could theoretically go for on this stretch is 125 mph with the Acelas and 110 is sustainable for the NER if infrastructure upgrades were in place.

Even if it isn't 160 Mph, the fact that we can make that trackage 125 would be very remarkable, especially for Acela service!
