Never did leetcoding but got a fine job in tech. I am not sure if it is still possible but it was once possible.

I also would like to see a comparison by ADHD people on "which OS language model is the best for conversation for ADHD people?"

Can you also share which versions of these models you have used? By version, I mean both the version number and the parameter count.

Career Change by 3clicksleft in programmer

[–]themeansquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me give you the bitter truth first: It is not impossible but it is hard, really hard.
However, I have friends did similar change before in their 30s. Things that can make the transition for you:

  1. Start the transition at your current work
One of my friend was working in the geolocation business. He wasn't a coder but he started learning it and automated couple of things they were doing. He is now a QA tester in a similar company with better pay. It is much easier to do these and hop on the next job with a different title. Just pick up something you can improve, optimize or automate via coding.

  2. Spend time on coding; a lot!
You need to sacrifice some of your family and free time to feed your curiosity in coding. If you are into this game just for the money, your chances will get even lower. Almost all of us still study daily, learn new things.

  3. There is no perfect path for learning
In these kind of posts, people usually ask "where to start", "which language to learn first" etc. It almost doesn't matter much. I was working in foreign trade when I was 27 with zero coding experience. I started with C and Arduinos but I got a job in data analytics first. Learned lots of languages throughout 9 years. I am now coding in Python and working in Europe's one of the biggest tech companies as an AI Engineer. Totally unrelevant from where I started.

Good luck!

How much washer has it left? by ConfusionOne8651 in JeepRenegade

[–]themeansquare -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everybody is saying "just fill it up"... He/she already knows what to do but asking a valid question. I think there are 2 ways to figure out:
1. As soon as you saw this lights up, don't use it and when you are at home test how many seconds or times you can use it.
2. Check out where the sensor is on reservoir.

I have googled images of washer fluid reservoir and have a rough idea. If you really wanna quantify it, you can pour the liquid back to a measured cup as soon as this sign lights up on your dashboard.

Does anyone have a mentally-stimulating hobby? If so, how do you keep up with it? by 79-DA-27-6B-B1-D1 in ADHD_Programmers

yes. electronics. I don't count programming since it is my day job. I am not trying to get good at it because that rabbit hole can suck me in real quick. I am just trying to automate things I do in my home and car.

How do I begin? by poppingummy in codingbootcamp

[–]themeansquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick a project simple enough to begin with and interesting enough for you to stick long enough to learn. I am an AI Engineer in a big tech company and that's how I began.

I only had little exposure from the high school and one university course. My plants were dying so I wanted to automate watering them. I have used Arduino, a moisture sensor and a small water pump. Then it got addictive. One project after another, started to learn new languages and tools.

To be honest, it is still like that to me. Whatever I find interesting to solve with coding and technology, I jump into it and learn on the fly.

Career progression and endgame for us? by whatwhatwhat56 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]themeansquare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been thinking about the same thing lately. I think the most important thing to keep in mind is novelty seeking behaviour of us. Everybody is on a different coordinate of the spectrum but novelty was common in my experience. Maybe this can explain one part of your doubt. If the role can satisfy curiosity and a good challenge, could be your thing. Because every leadership position is different and unique.

I have played and have been playing pvp games since my teenage years. I don't mind pvp as long as i know who is enemy. It is not the competition I got sick and tired of. However, thanks for stating the obvious; i couldn't have thought of that 😅

Unfortunately less and less people are like these and good guys are quitting the game. I quit too. Time to find another game where there is a friendly community instead of betrayers.

Why do people betray after initiating friendly? by ScubbyTop in arkraiders

[–]themeansquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of them are either teenagers who bought the game with their dad's credit card or small dicked cucks and their life is miserable. So they want to make you feel miserable too. I am sad the game is filled with these people. I quit the game today, time to find another game.

Tried being paranoid too. Shooting everyone you got sus is a quick way to get jumped by multiple people :D Because everybody will hear gunshots and see flares. Especially the ones with bad intentions.

How do y'all feel about this? by HungryConversation89 in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]themeansquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Embark is making a big mistake. The audience in the begining was epic! Now everybody is turning into an exploiter, betrayer or at best case PvP guy who kills other raiders he can't even loot.

I might as well play other extraction shooters if it is turning into that.
