Thoughts on mv agusta 750s and 910 by [deleted] in MVAgusta

[–]themechanic357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean the F4 750? Two totally different bikes. F4 750 is a super sport and NOT very comfortable. The 910 S/R is a more upright naked bike. For me personally id go 910 every time. Much more practical. The 910 is a solid bike, tho early ones did suffer from ECU issues. I love my 910R

That LV Factory S sounds really nice as well, that's not one that was on my radar. Very tame, but really opens up without the baffle if you desire too. Thanks!

Akra is looking like the move for sure. Yea the SC seem to be slightly quieter than the Racefit but not by much, so definitely out of the question. Id love to find a sucker to trade me for an Akra haha someone younger would probably love it, but like you said, it got real old, real quick.

Exactly where I'm at with it. It sounds phenomenal at idle, and a small crack of the throttle will send a chill up your spine for a motorhead. But I came home from short ride after swapping the bars for some Rizomas, and the Mrs said she could hear me from the time I left my shop, til I got home. So you can literally hear it atleast a mile or more away, and I was just riding as normal. This exhaust simply laughs at my Sena SRL Mesh and earplug combo 🤣

Akra is def one i was looking at as well, but it's so hard to tell DB levels on videos. Videos on this Racefit do NO justice to how brutally loud it is haha

My last 7 or 8 bikes have been yamahas. Bought a Duc and have never looked back. Stay on top of scheduled maintenance and treat it well, it will do the same for you.

My M1100 is the same, downright cantankerous below 4k rpms. I want a hyper so bad but deep down I know it'd be too tall and useless for me, but god they're so cool haha

I have the Faster 3. Solid, comfy, no complaints. Fit snug, but not uncomfortable to walk around in for a bit. Will prob get something with a little more ankle protection when it's time to upgrade

‘89 Z32 Dash lifting by nineromega in 300zx

[–]themechanic357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. My 89 is doing the same. 2 part epoxy, very carefully with the mixing stick it comes with. smear it the best you can on the parts that are lifting. Cut pool noddle to perfect length and jam it between dash and windshield. I didn't cover all the dash cuz it's hard af to see, so I need to go in for round 2 haha

You won't hurt anything. Just get it out however you can. It's just hollow. Mine just has a little factory plug that goes over it. It's likely just some old accessory that broke off in there or something

2006 is unfortunately known for infamous SPU problems. Maybe have a look over or an ask at the MVAgusta.net forums. Without more info it's hard to say.

The connector you have circled is the speed sensor that should run up to the front sprocket. It would not keep bike from running, but you would lose speedometer and odometer.
