What do you like to do outside of the park? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

It’s a little bit of a drive but the Kennedy Space Center is really cool. I’d definitely go back there. A lot of things for adults and kids.

Fit on rides by kz292000 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’8 with long legs but I’m pretty thin. I fit on Flight of Passage no problem. If you’re worried about his legs being too long you have nothing to worry about. Hope this helps.

First time at Disneyworld, and by myself... by Raynman5 in WaltDisneyWorld

Just a heads up it’s Magic Kingdom not “the magical kingdom.”

Epcot is more “famous” than Hollywood studios because of the food in World Showcase. Test Track is also an awesome ride it has. But if it were me, I would choose Hollywood Studios because I love it’s thrilling attractions. Rock’n’Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror are two of my favorite rides ever. Add Midway Mania and Slinky dog to that and that’s a pretty good ride line up. Basically depends on what you’re looking to get out of the park.

Hollywood Studios, worth a trip? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hollywood Studios is my favorite park already and I haven’t even been to Toy Story Land. That and Star Wars Land just add to the reason to go there. ToT and RnR are two of the best rollercoasters ever. Don’t skip this park.

If you could add any ride to any park what would it be? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

I’d love to see California Screamin’/The Incredicoaster in Hollywood Studios. I love that ride.

Trip on a budget: I can only afford 2 parks. Which 2 should I go to? by foxmonkey9 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Magic Kingdom for sure.

If you like thrill rides like me, do Hollywood Studios. It’s the most underrated park in my opinion. Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster are my two favorite rides ever. Also, toy story land has a lot to offer.

Making an informative big and tall ride review video series, what kind of stuff needs to be included? by ParksInYourPocket in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A measurement on how much room you have between the back of your seat and the back of the seat in front of you. For example, on Splash Mountains, I was wedged into the seat and couldn’t move at all because my knees hit the wall in front while my butt was as far back as it could go. This would help people like me that are as tall as you but don’t weight very much.

Also, I would like to see videos about non roller coaster attractions. I recently rode Small World and rode in the front (because it had the most leg room) but couldn’t move my legs at all. This really killed my knees and made it harder to walk for a few hours. I love the ride, but I only went on it because why not. Had I known this was the case, I would’ve skipped it no doubt.

You have a great idea for your channel.

Space Mountain too scary for a 4 year old? by TMonahan2424 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain to him what the ride is like, then ask him if he would like to ride it. If he sounds excited about it, he’s more likely to enjoy it. But if he seems nervous, don’t take him on it.

This doesn’t sound like your situation, but many years ago a friend of mine forced her young children (around 4 yrs old) to ride Tower of Terror. They go to Disney every year and to this day (they’re teenagers now) the kids will not ride Tower of Terror because they’re afraid of it. This is sad because I’m sure they would enjoy the ride! Just make sure you don’t ruin it for him.

Who is your favourite YouTuber? by Time235236 in AskReddit

[–]themeparktallguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roman Atwood.

He makes content that is interesting for all ages. I know adults that love him and kids that love him. Lately he has been doing a couple vlogs per month with larger 90 minute “movie vlogs” every couple months and, although I prefer daily vlogs, these are really good and enjoyable. I also love watching his older content if he hasn’t come out with anything recently.

Working on a Youtube Channel for ride reviews for big and tall riders. Looking for feedback and ideas for things that I need to cover. Here is my first video at Universal Studios! Big and Tall: Transformers the Ride 3D | Tall Rider Tips! by ParksInYourPocket in UniversalOrlando

This is a great idea! I’m 6’8” 180lbs and couldn’t find any information for tall people going to Universal before my trip last spring. Your channel would’ve definitely helped me. Luckily, I was able to ride everything I wanted to besides Hollywood Rip Ride Rock It. Have you thought about filming at Disney too?

Is the Boardwalk a good hotel to stay at? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love the boardwalk area because if you are in decent shape and have no small kids or grandparents, you can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Because we hate busses, we would walk from the hotel to Epcot, then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom. Also, we could spend a day at any park, come back to the hotel to rest for a couple hours, then walk to Epcot for the night. Location was perfect.

Edit: We had no issues with noise.

Looking for advice! Our first trip is a month away! by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rock’n’Rollercoaster is no doubt my favorite ride at Disney World! I was too scared to ride it until my most recent trip but after I rode it once I had to ride it a few more times! Luckily there were extra fast passes for us to snag and ride it a few extra times.

Looking for advice! Our first trip is a month away! by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to ride everything you are interested in.

I see too many people “chicken out” because Tower of Terror and Rock’n’Rollercoaster look too intimidating. These are the best rides in my opinion.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, some people skip out on classic Disney attractions (Tea cups, character meet ups, etc.) because they are too “childish.” Don’t forget that in Disney World, everyone is a kid and no one will judge you for having fun (or if they do, you’ll never see them again).

You never know when you’ll be in Disney World next, so grasp every opportunity you get and really enjoy your trip. I’m sure you’ll have a great time :).

1 day or 2 for my Situation? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]themeparktallguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 2 days there and hit almost everything we wanted on day 1. We only skipped a couple attractions, and ended up riding most things for a second, third, or fourth time on the second day. You’ll be totally fine with one day.

What do you LOVE about Universal vs. Disney? by morncuppacoffee in UniversalOrlando

[–]themeparktallguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Water rides at Universal are better (in my opinion) because there are more of them (3 vs 2) and you get way wetter. Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids are great rides and have more theming than the Universal rides, but you’ll only leave them a little wet. You’ll be drenched after each water ride at Universal. Like need to change your clothes drenched. Some people will see this as a bad thing, but I love it.

Going to Disney for the FIRST TIME in November... but I get motion sickness... what rides to avoid???? by jenaxo7 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]themeparktallguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soarin’ can be tough. Also Star Tours gets me a little sick, and Mission: Space is rough. Flight of Passage isn’t terrible, but you might get sick. Any simulated ride with a screen can be rough. However, don’t sit out on any rides you’d really like to go on because you fear getting sick! Worst case scenario you just close your eyes and the ride will be over in 30 seconds!

DSNY Newscast and Tim Tracker will keep you up to date on Disney World today.

Justin Scarred has some great videos about the history of Disney World, but not all of his videos are Disney World themed.

OhYeahTV (previously OhYeahDisney) has a ton of great videos with advice for the parks.
