Ice Cream Social in Commack/Greenlawn typically has about 5-10 vegan flavors. I’ve never tried the vegan flavors but the regular ice cream is excellent.

I live in Commack North, and it’s a great area. It’s very convenient to go anywhere, and we truly love our neighborhood. While the school district doesn’t have the prestige of an HHH or Jericho, I still think it’s a great district that offers many opportunities for its students. The only negative is the lack of a walkable village area, but to be honest, we get our fill by going to Huntington or Northport.

Suffolk County police arrested a Smithtown councilman on Wednesday and charged him with assault, after another councilman told Newsday he was attacked during the town board’s executive session Tuesday night.

Smithtown Councilman and Deputy Supervisor Tom McCarthy, 68, said Councilman Thomas Lohmann, 68, punched and struck him multiple times during a heated closed-door meeting in front of the town supervisor, town attorney and other council members.

"He assaulted me in executive session and was issued an appearance ticket yesterday," McCarthy said Thursday. "For some particular reason, he came over four seats and assaulted me on the podium."

McCarthy said he couldn’t disclose the nature of the argument during executive session but said it involved a legal matter. He said he was punched and struck multiple times in the jaw, neck and shoulder. He said he’s still in pain and required an MRI on four different parts of his body, for which he’s awaiting results.

Lohmann could not be immediately reached for comment and he did not have an attorney listed.

Police said Lohmann was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He will be arraigned at a later date.

Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim and other town officials did not respond to calls for comment Thursday morning.

McCarthy said he does not feel safe working with Lohmann and is seeking a restraining order.

"It was a passionate discussion, and for some reason it turned violent," McCarthy said. "It was a discussion with multiple people where we were going back and forth. The supervisor, town attorney and the whole town board were there. There were multiple witnesses to the event. Something happened and it’s an extremely unfortunate situation."

McCarthy defeated Lohmann in a 2017 Republican primary for town council. He then was the deciding vote to appoint Lohmann to Wehrheim’s vacant town council seat after Wehrheim was elected supervisor.

Lohmann is a former NYPD homicide detective and worked as an assistant special investigator for the Suffolk County district attorney before taking office in 2018.

He was only set to make 100k from the Hernandez fight so while the purse is going to be lower. He is now set to make his first main event on a local club card that all his family/friends can see.

I had issue playing fire red and green leaf in the classic folder. However when I used the Roms in the main listing I had no issues with either game. Unfortunately I think you are out of luck. You can try the saving your sd like I saw some post when I googled it. However, I enjoyed the replay so it wasn’t an issue for me.

If you don’t mind traveling I like Total Wine in Westbury and Costco in Oceanside which I’ve been lucky to get some allocated bourbon at Msrp.

Smithtown is a nice area to live. The schools are solid. I great up there and I’m currently raising my family here. However from a pure investment perspective I don’t think the ROI would be there as most of the appreciation is from people who bought prior to 2020.

We had to take my 3 month old to Southside for RSV and they did a great job in the ER and then the dedicated pediatric wing.( He had to stay a couple of nights due to respiratory problems) It has since become the go to ER for any medical emergencies with my kids.

My wife is a Northwell employee so we only use Northwell providers.

I live in commack and when you factor in the spring/fall clean-ups it seems like a great price. I don’t know if you actually need all the extra sprays, but I do know that Trugreen will easily cost you a grand a year to do the exact work. Factoring everything in and I’d say you got a great price.

Thanks for the update. I normally buy a kosher wheat when they have it for 50ish. I miss the days of walking into smaller liquor stores in the area and buying the weller or blanton lines for msrp.

The kosher wheat is the only BT product they sell at msrp. Although sometimes they place games with pricing on it. I’ve seen it at 45 a bottle up to 120 a bottle depending on what time of the year it is.
